I fit both categories. Because like a lot of last-gen games, when everyone gets their opportunity to get the next-gen console, the population on the older hardware starts to die off. Let's face it, even if DUST 514 is surviving, the platform it's on is dying. I for one, am selling my PS3 as soon as I get my PS4. I'll help you gentlemen from the skies, though.
PS3 is not dying, it still sells well from a month to month basis.
There's still a lot of games that are PS3 exclusives. And more to come.
CCP had the right idea when they put it on PS3 hoping PS4 would stop people from 'buying into' the PS3 and it's games, so the free to play game, Dust, seems all the more appealing.
The poor mans game on the poor mans system, *PS3 is cheaper then xbox360 for double the memory* |

Lol, that's one for the ages. Idk, I'm probably just being terribly pessimistic because most of the people that I loved playing with have left this game and moved on to PS4 or PC, and I see a lot of other people doing the same. There's no potential for PC anymore, so the hardcore end-game aspect is kind of demolished. Pubs are either a stomp, or getting stomped. Not much in between. Game died on fanfest, and it will probably only get worse. #sadthreadoftheday
I know what you mean, PS3 felt very dead when the majority of my friends list vanished for PS4 *We can't see when people are on PS4 from PS3*
Then I log on PS4 - bam, over 100 people on, lol.
But the PS3 is still a steadily sold console, it's not actually dying. It's just our side of the PS3 world is :( |
