Allow us to customize APEX suits with whatever basic gear we want, where is the harm?
I want to get some of these suits but the Module layout keeps my away from all of them.

If there was some way to set the APEX suits so that you could not equip anything above the meta level of standard modules equiment and weapons, then I would have no problem with them being customizable |

I'm ok with this as long as it's STRICTLY LIMITED to Basic/Standard items and they must be BPOs. After all, the APEX are suppose to be unlimited anyways. I can't imagine why anyone would want to take away their own no-cost advantage when all that will do is defeat the purpose getting the suit in the first place.

This defeats the point of apex suits. They're not meant to be customizable as they're meant to give a road map of how to spend your sp as a new player. Though they kinda got me beat on how they're supposed to be for new players if they're $30 (the LP variants are obviously for the vets). I don't think a new guy would want to shell out that much dosh for a f2p game they're not sure about. I didn't buy aurum until I had 25 million sp.

Gah.
My innards say "FUQ NO, LEAVE THOSE THINGS TO ROT!!!!"
My Mind says "Why the **** not, Can it do much harm?"
And then my mind realizes that CCP will prolly have a bug allowing full customization, so we'll have Free proto for about a week, Making my head spin in annoyance.

It's actually incredibly easy to do this:
Just cut down the CPU/PG values so that it is incredibly difficult to impossible to fit anything above MLT/STD.
Presto, done, end of story, mission accomplished.

If all you did was lower PG/CPU, someone would find a way to fit the best enhanced/complex module or weaponw while adding in cpu/pg boosting modules to make it happen. |

Just put an MLT/STD module restriction.

I don't really see a problem with this, because doing so is essentially gimping one's fit.
