DUST Search - Officer Weapon event drop rate is good

For those who haven't understood the context of my post, allow me to spell it out.

The drop rate is good, if it was the normal drop rate, because it feels like its too low of a drop rate for a special event that is supposed to have a higher than normal drop rate.

But if the current event drop rate was the drop rate we had every normal day, then it would be a great drop rate, much better than it was before.

We now have some twenty different officer weapons so chance of getting a specific single one is 1/20. Just don't be so picky and label all those other officer loots as 'crap'. People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

It was legit random and people started noticing that even on playlists with 4k+ songs it would play multiple songs from the same artist in a row, on several occasions, so they made it less random. CCP needs to make it lean at least 5-10% more towards the weapons you have or are close to skilling up to you before giving tankers swarmlaunchers and scouts HMGs/Forgies, and Amarr peoples Combat Rifles. Sure we should stll get them those items, but just make it less random to make it feel more random and not some terrifying ubertroll by CCP to get us to buy some upcoming Officer pack. Example, over 1000 matches, for a maxed out Minmatar Scout who only has SMG/Knife as weapons skilled past lv3 Operation, this person should get: Laser/HMG/Forge/Swarm/Shotgun/Scrambler(s)/Sniper RIfles Etc. - combined 70% of his drops, each item say 7% chance. SMG - 10% drop rate when an Officer tier drop is rolled on the server Knife - 12%(since this person has Prof 2 in it compared to SMG's Operations 3) It's these little things, along with not rewarding people for screwing about trying to make the match end quicker so they can hurry on their next Bingo roll. The loot system rewards you more if you afk. I've had 5 drops now in 9 games. Sure keep it at the higher rate but fix it so the people who put the effort in get the rewards. I've also being dropping normal stuff but I havnt bothered to keep track of that.

Clearly the drop rate is not very high right now. A lot of people think that the drop rates we are getting now should be the norm, and to be honest I support that because I for one have not been granted a ton of anything yet so yea. I would really like to see normal salvage rates go up, you know for the regular gear. That type of salvage should be pouring in every match - think of it as a secondary income. I have played for 3 days (granted not 23/7) I only got these. 1 drop @ 3x Symb's Fork-5 snipers (Actually use them so woot!) 1 drop @ 3x Aldin's IMP-10 Forge guns (Dont use em ) 1 drop @ 3x Alex's Modified ZX-030 HMG (Don't use em ) 1 drop @ 3x Beacon's ELI-74 swarm launcher (Kind of use them) 1 drop @ 3x Viktors NEG-1 laser rifle (Don't use em) 1 drop @ 3x Darth's GI0-66 Scrambler Rifle (Don't use em) Granted I am luckier than most with the drops however as an event I would have thought the drop rates would have been better. I would have loved to use more officer weapons during the event however at this rate I might as well horde them until Legion puts out a better market system. Bottom line? This event in my opinion is Meh. It does not make me want to keep playing through it like the million clone challenge did, and it really does not add to matches since you almost never see these weapons being used. -Marcus -I don't always kill Mercs with a sidearm, But when I do I use militia.
