Have you heard of the tails from the capsuleer side of the dust universe and wanted to get into it?
Have you been intrigued to see the wonders of space?
Have you wondered why im even posting this?
I encourage you to bring some attention to the pc world and to begin in probably one of those most visually astounding, heart pounding, and mind blowing games CCP has to offer.
I am not actually recruiting from here nor am i scamming so i feel this post should probably go somewhere else but i haven't found a spot to put it.

I used to think EVE was awesome...then I tried it and discovered that though the graphics are beautiful, the combat just made me yearn to spend my money instead on Anarchy Online a game where though the player base is dying, and the graphics are 10 years old, but it was at least fun and did not require spending 30 minutes to get to one location then being podded in a .9 area spending 30 minutes trying to figure out why and spending another two hours buying my things back.

EVE would be so much better if you could pull on a Dropsuit and go ground pounding when there aren't enough Corp members on to form a fleet. Spinning your ship in station gets old after a while.

Actually i have problems making end to end payments. This is the first time i have ever posted on like this. i posted my second one 4 mins after this in locker room.
If i could plex farm i wouldnt even sell them. i would give to corp members who are actually real life poor like me and love this game.
Other than the occasional one for me to extend my game time. But thats as selfless as i can be. i wish i was greedy enough to put them all on market for flippin 1 bill a peice but uunfortunatley im waaaaay to nice in eve.

There's a few keys to enjoying EVE. The golden rule of EVE is "never fly what you can't afford to loose."
The first is learning the mechanics, which is pretty complex. If you don't understand the mechanics, and your opponent does, you'll almost certainly die. You need to understand weapon ranges, turret tracking, sig radius, speed and how that all comes into play when trying to hit your target. Missile mechanics are slightly different (and a bit easier to understand). Next you'll need to understand damage profiles and resistances. This isn't all that different from DUST, but you can load different types of ammo that will deal different types of damage (and also alter your range and tracking). Next up is learning about Ewar. You can cripple the enemy in various ways (slowing them down, preventing them from warping, breaking their target lock, reducing their locking range, greatly increasing their locking time, reducing their tracking speed, reducing the range on their turrets, target painting (increases their sig radius, making them lock faster, easier to hit and take more damage in some cases), and finally neuts/nos which suck the enemy's capacitor. You then have to learn the rules of engagement, and security status so you can know when you can engage and what the consequences of the various combat timers are (like not being able to jump through a gate, dock in a station, or log off).
The other critical component to having fun in EVE is to join a corp. EVE University is an excellent place to get started. They are friendly, helpful, patient, and most importantly, trustworthy. You're not going to get scammed, tricked, betrayed etc. there and can always ask about stuff you're not sure about. You're expected to eventually move on to other corps, and they have very strict rules, but its a fantastic place to get started. I've also heard great things about RvB (red versus blue). The idea is there are two sister corps that are permanently at war with each other. They have rules for engaging each other and try to keep fights to cheap ships, so you can easily fleet up and go fight the other side with minimal damage to your wallet while you're learning combat/fleet tactics.
Stick to frigates for a while. They are cheap and a lot of fun. Big ships are awesome, but they're crazy-slow and expensive. I can fly a large percent of all sub capital ships, and frigates (cruisers too) are just lots of fun. Speed plays a massive role in EVE, and frigs are the undisputed kings of speed. Don't be in too big of a hurry to get into battleships.
You'll also need to figure out a way to make money. For first time players, I suggest mission running. You'll be investing your SP into combat skills which will help you earn ISK and be more effective in PvP. Contrast this with mining, production or trading and you'll be sinking tons of SP into stuff that won't help you in a fight (unless of course that's the kind of stuff you're into). You can make decent money running missions. For this I suggest running Caldati ships. They use missiles primarily which are easier to use, and work really well for mission running.
Oh, a final point. If you're thinking about doing faction warfare, it's probably a good idea to do it on a separate character, because you'll annihilate your standings with half the empires pretty quickly and you won't be able to travel through half of highsec without being hunted. That is incredibly inconvenient to have to deal with on your main character, and repairing your faction standings after you've nuked them is a very long and incredibly painful process of grinding. Save yourself the aggravation and use a second character to FW.
EVE is worth giving a try for sure. It's much slower paced, but the rushes you feel are like a more intense version of DUST. Like when you run a crazy expensive fit maybe with an officer weapon. You get that mix of excitement and fear combined. It's pretty cool, nothing really really compares.
Best PvE idea ever!

CONCORD doesn't offer protection in Highsec, only retribution. You're never completely safe when you're in space, unless you're cloaked up at a safe spot (uncloaked at a safe spot and you can be probed down).

they just released the update where they are using new codes to render graphics. They have the post in there events page, you might like to check it out. Seems a bit more complex than the previous codes used but they graphics are only 15% better. or maybe 20% but more so in quality then reality

Actually it only seems crazy because people take this game to hear. especially those who oured thousands of dollars into this and so on and so forth,.
but you do have crazy people like CODE, Goonswarm, and so on... this is to the point where if i had the link i would be preaching about how redundant the life of the man that is known as JAMES 315 is, and how he has ruined some of the eve careers and has sort of created mass hysteria in certain parts of the EVE world.
I can also preach that he seems to be one of those real life people who were bullied and is now taking it out on the citizens of EVE.
http://www.minerbumping.com/p/the-code.html4 found it
and these guys are seriously demented in the head or just really disturbed.
He calls himself the "Saviour of Highsec" but really he has started the damnation of it. I has come to the point where i feel safer mining out in null than in high sec. (Plus i get more money from it)

**** man... Happened to me twice in the extended trial. First time I was in a Venture, and for instaganked by some scrub while I was mining... Second time I got baited and attacked a Gallente ship... Then he stopped taking damage from my Corax, after which his tech 2 drones ****** me over. I admit, I did epicly fail there. First, I should have engaged farther, and two, it should have rung a bell that he was sitting there for a good half an hour...

I just started EVE a few days ago on the 15 day trial. Planning on getting the subscription. For me, EVE is a good way to waste time while also getting a little engaged. That's very different from my experiences with Dust. Being a CEO and/or director for most of my time playing, I was stuck recruiting and basically treating the game like a job. While I would definitely do it all again (nothing like the thrill of leadership and seeing your members successful and happy), I can also appreciate a more relaxed setting. I'm more interested in PVP, oddly enough but I'm getting stuck in non-combat missions.
*shrugs*
I think I picked it up quite easily due to the shared mantras and ideologies as well as mechanics with Dust. Knowing that I gotta be up close and personal with my Gallente Incursus, and that I can't stack too many heavy armor plates on or risk slowing down tremendously or even the fact that I gotta tackle my opponent (which has never really been brought over to Dust...but it needs to) to get the best hits in.
Planning to keep my ass away from Low-Sec and Null-Sec for now...Need to build up my gear and skills and stuff.
Also for you EVE vets here, I got a question. Why are there Dust-based assets for sale in EVE? It's not like we can trade them right now... I mean I wish we could, that would be extremely cool.
