Lets be honest here guys, I thought this officer event was going to be noticeable. I thought I would be seeing a lot more officer gear out there in matches, I thought that we would get officer loot every few matches or so.
I thought wrong.
You wouldn't even know that this event is on had it not been for the obvious anticipation from the forums users. I've personally been pulling out the Gastuns forge every now and again and literally I am finding I am the only one even bothering to use officer gear. Ok I think I have seen maybe 1 or 2 other people use officer gear all weekend long so far and that's it.
Am I saying I want officer weapons everywhere everymatch? Of course not HELL NO!! But on the flip side I thought this was AN EVENT! I expected to see eventful goings on!
Most people cant even salvage enough gear to bother to use any, so what's the point of this event?
EDIT - Now if players could trade officer gear then this might have been an epic event and a way to cash in for some people.

Current drop rate should be normal drop rate, getting some weapons, enough to use them, but not enough to spam them.
Situational awareness also known as passive scan.

Yea exactly, because we have to remember the salvage system will not always give the weapons that people want right? I know a few people have got 6,7,8 stacks of officer gear but I have put in some good hours on Friday and Saturday and I think I have had a single drop of LR`s and some swarms that I cant even use.
I was kind of hoping that over the course of the day people would have enough to use a few. Its random of course but too sporadic. Up the drop rates.

Absolutely.
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

If we had player trading, this event and the way salvage works would be awesome. I would be singing CCP`s praises.

Agreed.
With no player market or player trading its not like we will be able to swap weapons to build stockpiles to spam.
