DUST Fiend Onslaught Inc RISE of LEGION 15174	Posted - 2014.11.23 04:03:00 - [1] - Quote So as soon as my PS3 comea home from the hospital and my HDMI converter comes in, along with a couple other RL things coming together, I will finally be putting together my little YouTube series aimed at fledgling and veteran pilots alike. I recently respeced so im maxed in vehicles for dropships aside from python, only at 1 for the moment, and im still working on large turrets. Im probably the lowest SP closed beta vet at only 38 million lol. Anyways. I was hoping any interested parties could just help me brainstorm some more ideas. What are things you struggle with, or tips you'd like to pass on? What are some fits you'd like to have examined, or tactics you'd like to highlight? I plan to cover things from mundane to advanced so everything is on the table. Also, if you can do tests and figure out if the blaster truly is having hit detection problems that'd be good. It won't hit anything. I'm better than laser focused; I'm hybrid focused.

Personally I'd like to see some full flight time matches. At least full flight times if you edit them. Commentary is nice but not necessary. Other than Judge, the vids I've found for DS / ADS are mostly clips and snippets, more like highlights and lulz videos. As a new player I enjoy seeing the match from the veteran's perspective. I have a decent number of those on my channel, granted their pretty old now because it's been forever and a day since I've uploaded, but they're there. I will definitely make sure to upload some of those as well. I figured Judge would have these, he also has that nifty little controller animation that shows you what buttons he's pressing as he's doing it. That's something I really wish I knew how to do, but sadly, I don't. I definitely think it's good to have more than just a couple of these out here, so we can better see what it is that pilots do to actually...pilot. I think I'll take a trip over to his channel before I start tossing these together so that way I can get a better feel for the things he's covered as well. I'll ultimately end up repeating him because I seriously want to cover even the most absurdly mundane things. @ Operative, that's a good suggestion about the turrets and something I was looking to cover. I'll also be covering how to fly if you have gunners, and I'll probably hop into First Airborne at some point and make an episode just about being a gunner. I will also run tests on the Blaster but it's always going to be a useless front mounted gun until they either turn it into an AV weapon, or give us a proper first person camera that lets us aim our gun. Until then it will always suck unless they give it some pretty respectable AoE, which I don't see happening. I need to re familiarize myself with the controls because its been a while since ive played with any consistency. I fly mostly off of muscle memory lol. Practice practice practice The main thing to remember is that ADS are a lot more fragile than standard dropships, but have higher mobility and control, which basically translates to greater sensitivity. You're used to over compensating to make your militia dropship to perform its maneuvers. This is actually a very important topic for new pilots because ISK is a thing, and flying is expensive. I will definitely spend a few episodes covering different tactics and fits to use for militia and standard ships yoo. Right now my best advice is to deploy on a map with a red zone protected by a mountain, and deploying behind that. Just spend as much time as you need to fly around back there to get used to it. Remember that L1 makes your ship go up from whatever direction the top of the ship is facing. That means you only press that if going up, or forward (by tilting the ship at a 70-90% angle.ADS respond better and dont take as much force to pull off maneuvers, so you need to teah yourself to tone back a bit as you get used to them.
