I am not trying to be a scan logi by the way... just a logi. I was thinking caldari since they have the bonus to nanohives (chuck a few repping hives down and earn those points)
the minmitar logi has a nice rep tool bonus, but will i really need it?
Amarr has a link time bonus in case i want to spawn people places.
So far i have skilled the assault ck.0, rail rifle, SMG, armor + shield upgrades tree, cores to 5.
i still have over 20+ million left to spend :)
What log do you recommend?

Callogi from my experience isn't a whole lot combat oriented, while the Amarr can be used in combat to some extent. However, you are definitely right in that the Callogis bonus to nanos makes it quite useful, and the rep tool can still be used effectively on it. Same with nanite injector. So it depends, I would suggest Callogi though.

Definitely not Gallente Logistics. I can tell you that much.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

Min logi hands down. There is no other choice. The bonus to nanohives is nothing special on the cal. If you're going to be a logi you're going to need that rep tool. A min logi is the most universal if the four. You can still put down links and hives just fine with it while keeping your team alive with that rep tool |

Wait.
The Equipment Bandwidth change might end up up-heaving the Logi game. Sure, the Caldari bonus sucks and the suit is built more for Logislaying but if it has more Bandwidth and can fit more stuff it might be an appealing choice. Also, CCP might be looking to change more about Logistics. IE, nerf to Scanners makes Gallente Logi far less enticing and it is *possible* that suits might change. I would wait it out.
If you decide not to wait:
* Caldari bonus is okay but the Repair Hives are generally killed long before they run out of nanites, especially if you are using Prototype hives. Only have 2 equipment slots at a basic suit is crippling though. Slot layout is also terrible until Prototype sadly.
* Gallente can do something that no one else can; be really, really good with a Scanner. If you don't find yourself wanting to use a Scanner, the Gallente Logi gets a lot less interesting. 3 and 4 Equipment slots is quite nice.
* Amarr are a WP factory in public games. You died. There are two Uplinks in a safe location. One is 15 seconds, the other is 4 seconds; which do you choose? Only having 2 equipment at the basic level sucks but the bonus is pretty good and the extra sidearm fluctuates between "interesting" and "useful."
* Minmatar is the most well rounded. They get a bonus to the equipment that most Logistics would want to use given that it is the most active (fun, in my opinion) and is always useful. No matter what, people are going to be taking armor damage and that is some fast and easy WP. Minmatar have a good layout. 2 highs, 2 lows, 3 equipment at the basic level is pretty cool and 4 highs, lows, and equipment at Prototype is quite awesome.
Minmatar is the most overall helpful and solid. Gallente does something better than everyone but that something isn't super helpful in the WP department in public games. Amarr's bonus is REALLY powerful and if they had 3-4 equipment I think they would be the go to as faster spawns means more people charging at a point and more WP for you. Caldari is the worst of all worlds; a bonus that isn't exciting, 2-3 equipment, and bad progression for slots STD-ADV-PRO.

If you can play with even one decent sentinel you can earn a ton of wp playing min logi. I've had my friend get 6k wp in a match using a 2 beam rep tool and he usually averages around 3k wp, still great. Problem is that if your heavies are just random blueberries they are going to die even with you healing them.

min logi isnt bad, nice reps and range..
cal logi blows more so due to the static nature of hives and NO ONE HARDLY EVER PRESSES X FOR A REZ...
gal logi is refreshing change from min logi becuase its tankier, it reps up faster so lower downtime between getting your butt pounded and the scan bonus is fairly good as i think i ahve turned the tide of a match by simply useing active scanners to let my derps(team mates) know where the nasties are.
amarr logi suffers from tight as hell PG and CPU if you fit it with a sidearm with out having L4 light+side AND atleast L4 in your core upgrade and electronics and engineering.
i have all 4 logi,
2 of them twice, because im extremely masochistic and just love to be a support player and force multiplier

sometimes.. but the raw healing from core focused has made some random blueberry sentinels feel like GODS cause L5 min logi bonus gives it like..151hp/s

Running the Gal Logi my self, the scanner is sweet, but I miss running my MinLog Basic. Just because it is so goooooood.
Been thinking that the AmarLogi would be fun to run as an Assult with tons of cheap links. Because after the sidearm event I have taken to actively switch to sidearm for the kill. (AR/BoltP or Sub combo). So I die a lot while trying to pull out a sidearm that's not there ;(.
But I'm a bit uncertain if not GalScout, can fill the logi role. It has almost the same HP, much better recharge, it is so fast that you can "walk" and rep a running hwy. And with a complex rangeEx, who needs the scanner. Squad up with your favorite hwy, and give that walking mini gun 20/20 vision.
So my current fav "log"i is a GalScout with proto rep and injector (I like it when they rise fully healed, makes much better shield), and the AR/Bolt combo. |

Seeign as there is a rebalance in equipment coming shortly hold off and see what suits your playstyle best when its released. each suit is having a certain amount of Equipment bandwidth (Mhz) meaning only certain amounts can be deployed at once, full details are in ideas forum but you don't wanna go into one that is usefull now but then in 2 weeks gets altered in a way its not beneficial for you

amarr and cal have 3 at proto level whereas min and gal have 4 but the amarr has a sidearm to make up for it. the cal has rainbows and cuggles

As a long time min logi I love it however it is squishy and it really doesn't like to be super bricked out, it wants to be fluid and free from excessive plateage.
For me personally the next logi I would go into would be either the Amarr for the sidearm slot or Gallente for the scan bonuses.
Go for what ever you like the look of best.
