So here I am in a fire fight with a GK0 logi with a vizieam, I'm in a proto amarr assault, he gets the jump on my firing steady like an assault scrbler, so I turn and fore back (at this point he has emptied half his clip with out a brake in fire, I do the same thing back, but instead my gun over heats 20 rounds in and kills me (I have the scrbler rifle completely maxed except prof 5 )
Why is it that this gk0 piece of **** can fire an amarr rifle and not over heat, but when a guy in an amarr suit does it it kills him???

The **** is "leavening"?
Was he using an AScR? Because that thing can fire forever, even when fit to a non-Amarr dropsuit.

My guess is that he was being careful in his shots and was pushing close to overheat without actually hitting there and/or using the Assault Scrambler.
Sorry to hear that you are not currently enjoying DUST. Like any game, if the Frustration is higher than Enjoyment it is probably a good idea to take a break. DUST will be here if you decide to come back.

he probably hit you with a charged shot first?
he probably has better aim and lands more hits?
but tbh the SCR is makeing a comeback and it already feels like Pre-nerf SCR with how powerful it was at killing people

If you don't like the heat buildup try out the assault version. If you don't like the assault version practice more with counting shots. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to fire the weapon and know when to stop without looking at your heat buildup. I think it's around 18 shots rapidly, I might be wrong, haven't used that weapon in a long time. |

If you were also using a scrambler rifle, then he had a larger armour buffer, and since armour has a natural resist to energy weapons, he was simply able to out tank you. Also, he may have had proficiency in the rifle, letting him shred your shields in fewer shots, allowing him to get more of his shots into your armour. Lastly, he may have gotten a couple headshot, which give a fairly substantial damage bonus (at least, I think they still do).

Well my alt disagrees, running amarr on that one win tee scrambler rifle and with all the armor tanking I find it lacking.
1 charged shot kills Sheilds the. Proceed to put A LOT, didn't count, in his armor and hardly made a dent.
When he killed me I saw be still had 500 armor on an assault 
I like my combat rifle better..... Prolly cause that's what I'm used to....

He is a gk0 probably has more than 700 armor. Scrambler rifle does more damage to shields.
And u said he is using a laser rifle. That thing doesn't heat like ScR.

The kill feed said vizieam scrambler rifle, there were only 2 of us at the point which my team held, the guy was firing the thing like the assault varient and it didn't phase him, I did the same thing back and it killed me,
How does a suit with no bonus to a laser weapon not over heat it?????
It's bull shot and you all know it, what's next? The min assault gets a new suit bonus that removes rail rifle recoil?!?!?

I dont know what type of BS is being propagated on the forums these days but the Scrambler rifle is actually MORE powerful than it ever was before.
The reasoning / proof = it can now fire more shots before it over heats than it even did in the past. This obviously benefits the weapon in everyones hands not just coupled with an Amarr Assault.
People will catch on and realise it is again the highest burst dps light weapon and you will no doubt see the modded controller users flock back to it (assuming they ever left it)

Modded controllers or macro mice definitely allow you to fire more shots with the regular ScR. They can also reduce recoil on a lot of rifles.
Can't speak to charge time, I guess you might be able to set something up to constantly precharge at a low level but I would assume that would mess up your movement quite a bit.
LR's, there's no way they could reduce heat build up. It's the worst possible weapon for use with a turbo controller. Maybe you could set a macro to automatically hold the trigger down for the precise amount of time you can fire so that you rarely overheat, but that's it.

I have not used turbo myself, but I could see charge/spool time reduction. Like you press the trigger and you get 2 points of charge instantly then it tick every .2-3 seconds so if your trigger activates faster than that, it would charge faster. Again just speculation.
