Looking for some good fits for the assault gk.o and keep in mind that I like to stay racially correct (20 HP/s minimum) Here's my current fit: Assault gk.o I'd like some advice on how to improve it and I'll briefily give the purpose of the suit and why I used x module over y etc
First of I chose the Duvolle Assault Rifle because this is going post-nerf breach AR which will be coming soon, imagine it as a breach AR if it puts your mind at ease. The Ion Pistol is self explanatory, blaps scouts no matter the race + great for sneaking up behind someone hacking something, like a heavy, a charge shot to the head hurts a lot! But it also has its purpose with the 2 complex prescion mods, I know your screaming at me now but hear me out: CQC fit, so even though the scan range on assaults isn't big, it'll kill those pesky shotgunners undamped or brick tanked scouts, Rattati has already said assaults are getting a EWAR buff soon as well. They are also serving as placeholders because Rattati said that he wants to give mybrofids a proper purpose either in increased strafe speed, movement speed, jump height or all 3. In that case I'll switch the prescion mods to them because CQC means lots of strafing and jumping. They are like I said, just placeholders for now, and no I won't stack 3 damage mods, 1 complex is enough for me. Notice the whole suit is complex except the X-3 hives (AR runs out of ammo fast). I'd like some feedback and also if it would be benificial to drop a complex rep for a complex reactive or something like that. Now that I think about is a active rep fit even good in CQC? |

For CQC, try all reactive and ferroscale (or ferroscale and a repper) and thank me later. Speed tank it.
I also think the Breach AR is better than the regular AR.
The rest is really how you prefer to run it -- I have no strong feelings although I think you're better off with more HP or damage mods than playing with EWAR on an assault.
All of the above can change with the proposed changes to strafe speed and EWAR, but for now that's my advice. |

I would suggest switching to two ferroscale plates, and switching one repper to a sprint module. The precision mods you could swap to two shield extenders.
As far as weapons go, the base AR is still pretty good, I like the Tac AR too, burst is kinda funky to get the timing right so dont use unless you feel comfortable with its timing, it can be good when used right. |

I made a 30 rep Shotgun Assault.... could be fun.

You can fit all that?
Anyway, drop a rep per for a plate, swap the high slots for 3x damage mods or shield extenders. Good fi already though, i just fit this different

I found that the best combination of speed, armor and reps comes from the Two Complex Armor Repairs and Three Complex Ferroscale combo.
You have to have your biotics up at 5 to get the speed up to par.
I prefer this fit but I also have a Marksman fit that trades more armor for speed since it's using a Duvolle Tactical and is more for defense.
But the first low slot fitting I gave you is good for all around assaulting.

3 CPX Reactive Plates 2 CPX Armor Repairer
2 Light Damage Mods 1 Sidearm Damage Mod
Federation Specialist Duvolle Assault Rifle Ion Pistol (whatever tier you can fit. I use the adv)
Flux Grenade
Whatever equipment, though Nanohives help plenty (even though they are filthy Caldari Tech). I use either a scanner or nothing, because #Freedom
Pretty squishy, but you rep insanely fast. Alternatively, you can trade a Repairer for another Reactive for more tank. |

2 complex damage 1 basic shield (placebo, 230 shield fits my mind better then 194, sounds ridiculous but having under 200 shield hurts my ability to play lol.) 3 complex ferro 2 complex reps Proto Ar of choice (breach for me atm obviously) Proto smg of choice (I don't use the hair dryer gun, liking the boundless smg) Core locus X-3 nano hives
The basic shield could be something much better and more useful for a sane person, more dakka is probably better but you said you won't do it. I'd add a better extender but I can't fit anything better.
To me that's basically the best fit, I refuse to add anything that affects the movement speed, you could even add a sprint mod to help chase down the scrubs and steal all the kills in a pub match but I think it's not quite as good overall. Mines a boring fit but I think it's good and it works for me.

2 Enhanced Plates 3 Complex Reppers 1-2 Complex Shield Extenders 1-2 Complex Damage Mods Duvolle-TAR-BAR-Allotek Ion Pistol Nanohive
This is a really tight fit, requires fitting skills maxed including weapon PG fitting skills to be high. If PG is too tight for you, drop a shield extender to enhanced.
Two enhanced plates add a good amount of buffer without too terrible of a slowdown while three reps puts you around 30 hp/s which is awesome. There have been several instances where I just rep right through incoming distant fire without any trouble, it's a great feeling. The weapons are obvious, One or two shield extenders are nice for when a RR or CR gets the first move on you, they don't immediately start tearing into your armor. Damage mods are just nice to have, either one light, two light, or one light and one sidearm as I use the IP -constantly-.
