Are commandos still useless?
Are scouts still useless?
Are assault rifles still op?
Did they ever make the game run at 30fps?
Is armor a viable choice for fitting a suit?
I also saw that they announced a new project and are cutting development for this game. Is the game dead now because of it?
I also saw with the recent patch that the devs finally gave into the fotm chasers by adding the ability to pay for resetting skill points. How has that worked out?
Thanks in advance.
I do not know love, only ( -í° -£-û -í°).

Commandos... well the Gallente commando is pretty fun.
Scouts are amazeballs. They win. All of it. If you are playing anything but a scout or HMG sentinel right now you are actively trying to hamstring yourself.
A assault rifle variant is OP: Breach AR. The rest are okay. Burst needs some TLC.
Don't know about FPS. I know the game looks smoother (on some maps) since 1.9.
The preferred tanking style is: HMG sentinel or dual tank scout.
You saw wrong. Dust is still being actively worked on. Legion is too. Dust isn't dead, in fact, it's retaining players more now than it ever has. Not that Dust is a GOTY or anything, but it isn't dead.
Respeccing costs $20 USD and it pretty useful. Ends up costing you 20% of the ISK value of your skillbooks too. It's an incredibly useful feature and it has worked out great.
My advice to you, playa...

Commandos are more common these days. An indication they are no longer useless.
Scouts have been buffed a lot and finally have a cloak. Although now they have become a hot topic on how to keep them from being any better than the assaults.
Assault Rifles are now mostly balanced.
They finally did. The graphics and the famous Gallente Research Facility have been optimized for better frame rates.
I see quite a bit armor tankers nowadays.
That much is true but now it seems Dust is getting a complete revival now that CCP Rattati has taken over development of Dust with the help of CCP Frame and CCP Logibro.
I'm still bummed out as well about respecs being in the game, but surprisingly the respecs haven't impacted the gameplay as much as I thought. Besides, at $20 a respec, considering that you only get a refund of a fraction of the ISK spent on skill books and you can't get a SP refund on corporation skills, I don't think people would be so willing to respec as often as I feared especially since we know CCP is cracking down hard on anything OP.

1. Mostly yes.
2. Scout with shotgun-remote-cloak = Easy mode for dust514
3. They went horrible but are heading back to the top, yes.
4. Only some times, though not really.
5. Indeed.
6. Nope, bad ass proto blue print suits you can buy with arum or 100k lp and 10mil isk, proto suit with basic fititngs that you cannot change. Friggin epic to play with and make that money.
7. Respecs have worked out fantastic, most people can only afford one, but it's helping to bring out stronger fighters. I personally enjoy a challenge, so everyone getting their ducks in a row for battle is a sweet change. I feel like tons of people are buying them so I hope that means more content that can be funded!
Welcome back homie :D

I can say the plasma Cannon is no longer a giant joke.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

Commandos are great right now, but if Derrith Erador's idea goes through then it won't be.
ARs are balanced, CRs in most instances are better. I think the game runs at around 30 FPS usually but I haven't done any tests so it may be lower. Armor is better than Shields in most cases now.
DUST isn't dead, but most of the good players left. If you want a challenge than stay out of PUBs because the AI on the lowest difficulty in other FPSs are better than most of it's players.
Respecs for FoTM changed nothing as you dont't need a respec to invest into the FoTM.

It may not be a joke any more, but good lord does it make me laugh.
OP, Dust is in a really good place these days. It's definitely worth trying again, a lot of vets have given it another chance and decided to stick around. We're getting closer to balance and actually seeing new content being released. I haven't had this much fun since very early Uprising builds.

Everything will work well in one way or another. The game's about as balanced as it's ever been.

Projectiles fly almost twice as fast, leading to lower drop. Also, there was a very significant damage increase some time ago.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
Currently challenging CCP Rattati for the queef

Got a nice damage buff a while ago, the projectile is much faster and it has a flatter trajectory. They also seem to have fixed the false reload that leads to a dud shot glitch that plagued the gun for so long. The hit detection for splash damage is still a bit wonky on uneven terrain, but overall it's vastly improved.
I like either a plasma cannon and flaylock scout or a plasma cannon and mass driver commando fit when I'm looking for laughs.

The game is in a much better state balance wise thean it was before. There are no really underpowered suits or weapons. We can also sell stuff to npc vendors now and have a bunch of awesome new maps.
You can't fight in here! This is the war room.

Still free... if you are willing to grind for it. In that case, it's not free because time is money.
