I don't know why but it keeps getting worse. My internet connection is equivalent to a T1 commercial line, in other words, its faster than your high speed residential connection. I would give this game another 1k dollars if they just work to eradicate the LAG |

I had an absolutely horrific game yesterday on Ashlands. We're talking PC-versus-Nyain San level lag. Haven't seen that in a pub for a year or more. |

Your internet speed means little when it comes to Dust. Your ping and jitter (i.e. variance in ping) and packet loss means quite a bit, however, and could be indicative of a problem in the wiring in your home, your internet provider, or the internet itself (or the game server). |

Holy shitballs, Batman!
Quit trying to bring logic and network design into a complaint thread, you'll only get yourself hurt.
For everyone complaining about lag: Hard wire your PS3, no WiFi If you absolutely must use WiFi, make sure your router isn't on the other side of the house, under a cabinet, covered in dust and clothes. If you're using WiFi, make sure there aren't any large panes of glass or mirrors between your PS3 and your Router. Not Kidding Read this |

If you live in America I recommend moving out of it..to say...Britain for cheaper and faster internet speeds...
Also...Apparently older Ps3 SKUs have a harder time keeping up with the newer ones from I heard on the forums from a Dev.
Don't think about that, think about all the money.

But 'MURICA
Seriously though, faster and cheaper is fine and. Proper network setup is way more important for what people are complaining about.
I live in Detroit, and granted, I work with networks more often than the average person so mine is configured properly with good network equipment. I'll be in games that are smooth as butter for me and other american players in my squad will be bitching up a storm about lag. 98% of the time, those people are on WiFi with crap gear.

LOL Blaming Al Gore instead of blaming CCP for poor game design. Oh wait, right this whole bandwidth shenanigans is not CCP finally admitting they have a crap game it still has everything to do with our garbage PS3's and routers.

It's entirely possible it's both
Also, you probably have a garbage router, most people do. |

You mean all three, right?
Garbage game design> Router> Crapy Al Gore Speed
(Router and Al Gore can be flip flopped but LOL Game Design is always #1 Reason)

Nice one, I'll try that out tonight.
I have a feeling a lot of my issues may be caused by latency (I'm in NZ, using American servers), but hopefully switching from WiFi to ethernet will help.
