You hopefully are sticking with teammates if you are a heavy. NEVER be a heavy without good support. You WILL get shotgunned or RE'd in the back.
That's one of the great things about this game. If you are a lone wolf and NOT a scout, 9/10 times you will get torn to shreds.
Find a squad, play with them, and play smart. Most problems blueberries complain about will go away, I guarantee it. This is a load of horse crap. A shield stacked scout can run around well enough spamming RE's close enough at your feet that you only get 2 options - run or kill. And killing doesn't guarantee that RE won't go off, so you're best bet is get out of the RE's way that IS GOING TO DENOTE IN 3 SECONDS.
That's how long a nade should take, as it's intended purpose unarguably is anti-infantry and is a tool to use during combat.
RE's are not anti-infantry, they're specialist tools, used to give a tactical edge in ambushes or punching a hole in hard armor. It is not a direct combat tool, it's a support.
But the current function of RE's is it's better to use then a Core Locus. The entire problem is as others say - it goes off much too quickly. The real answer is a placing animation so they can't be tossed around like a nade, but since we all know CCP is incapable of that, the next best solution is increase detonation timer. Make it so you do NOT throw that RE while IN COMBAT and expecting it to go off seconds later like a nade - that's insane. And the only people who support are the ones spamming it or are among those spamming it.
And FA spams RE's like CRAZY. o.0 |

I said scouts because that's typically who is using them. Otherwise I have no problems with scouts. As far as what suits I run, I have: Full proto min logi Full proto min assault Full proto min commando Full proto min sentinel Full proto amarr sentinel Soon to be full proto min scout I'm not new to the game, I'm not against scouts, I always run with a squad and I'm sick of Damn remotes. We regularly clear rooms packed with heavies without dropping a single remote. good for you but not everyone haves a squad to be with. so how to clear a room solo.... RE is the great answer. The real answer is grenades, but RE's are abusable so it's the best answer instead. |

Imagine if those RE were strapped to the front of a ballistic missiles slightly more intelligent than a raccoon moving at 100kmph....... PSH ~ We talking about future technology here! And in the future bullets are infused with magic so they disappear after certain distances, the floor will vanish throwing you into a bottomless pit of death, and remotes counter both tanks and infantry!
