Get rid of the plates. Use regulators, and when your shields drain, run back into cover. You'll be back to full in no time. Use the MagSec in CQC, it works like a good rail based AR. If your shields are close to low, break vision contact(Strafe around a box, keep the opponent on the otherside. It works when I'm against a heavy.) .

I don't have the numbers with me right now, but if one Reg keeps your shield recharge time low, and the plate gives little or no speed penalty, then I don't see why not.

right now im in the game and I have the numbers if I don't put a regulators in I have
279 of shielding 177of armoring
Shields Recharging rate 49.95 Hp/s
Armor Repair rate 4.00 Hp/s
If I took off a Reactive plate and add a basic regulator I would have
279 of shielding 152 of armoring
Shields Recharging rate 49.95 Hp/s
Armor Repair rate 3.00 Hp/s

Leave the 2 reactives because basic frames already have low HP and basic regulators are not worth it. |

Yes, surviving with shields is all about regen. On a adv Cal assault I would use a adv regulator and the best reactive I can fit. Lately due to the scanner spam I use a complex damper instead of the reactive. I run 2 adv shields and a adv energizer, sometime a damage mod if pg allows. I use the ARR and Magsec or smg. FYI the Magsec does armor damage not shield damage. Also have core locus nades on that fit with compact nano.

Just get it so that your Shield down time is as low as possible.

This is a basic frame, so you already have significantly low HP, fit the reactives to compensate, however you are likely to have poor survivability either way. |

Armor plates are useless in caldari. So you can see how a CAl assault should be...I'll post my Ck.0 fit.
GÖª 4 cx shield ext GÖª 1 cx Shield Energizer GÖª 1 cx reactive plate GÖª 2 cx Shield regulators
Kaalakiota RR (Armor damage/long Range) Breach SMG or Assault SCR pistol (Armor damage/Close range or Shield damage/Med Range) Flux (if using SMG) or Locus (if using SCR)
Over 7 speed 600+ Shields 50+ Shield recharge rate per sec around 1.5 secs for shields to start recharging
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

use normal nanohive.. then you have 2x hives instead of 1 cause the RRs especially teh SL-4 eats ammo faster then a heavy's HMG does.
