Weapons aren't op skill points are
suits aren't op skill points are
tanks/ads' aren't op skill points are
If you didn't have prof in a weapon its not good
if you didn't have the cores to back up a suit a proto suit is a good as a basic
just remember skill points are the only thing making the other guy kill you quicker.
so in conclusion skill points aare the only thing making people cry i swear no-one takes SP as a factor when people are calling things OP.

Yes to a point, the skill progression is mostly vertical and partly horizontal. A guy that spend 20 million in infantry core abilities and weapons will objectively be better stat wise than the one that spend 10 million. Although that doesn't change the fact that some weapons are op no matter what. |

True. But not in all the cases.
For eg, core flaylcok when it was released was OP even without any proficiency in it.
Pretty much every rifle (NOW) when skilled with proficiency are better. |

It's not that they don't consider it as a factor, it's that they don't want to consider it. People just don't like to admit the advantage spent SP gives them over those with less. Of course there's a point where that stops mattering but that's only between high SP players.

I opened up second but had cover while he was in middle of the road. Took a reload to down him though but still downed him. Very different from my current militia fits on my main which can do it under a mag or much less. Cal Assault vs mlt plasma rifle.

Skilled players will beat unskilled players with better gear 9/10 in this game.
I know this because I have an ISK farming alt that I play with and only use militia frames and weapons. My suits are under 5k and I play the worst game mode (Ambush) over and over against proto stomp teams and I still am carrying a 1.5 KDR as a militia warrior.
Knowing maps, weapons, etc; is the ultimate advantage and when you have less tank and gank than everyone else you learn to be more crafty with your weapons. |
