since the rail rifle has bin changed i think we need a new suit bonus. alot of ppl say the RR is completely broken but i say different. it is still good for what it is supposed to do....long range. the problem i think ppl are having is close quarters with lets be honest. you got about 3 secs of hip firing before you have to stop and restart firing and with that new charge time its pretty tough. but can be done because the dmg is still very nice. just less forgiving now.
but my point is we need a new bonus to help the RR for caldari assaults. Amarr gets charge time (buff the week side of the scrams) Min gets biger clip (again buffs the week side of combat rifles) Gk0 gets hip fire (hip fire is not really a problem with the AR but none the less helps a lot in my opinion) caldari gets relode speed (wtf)
i think either hip fire stability and/or charge up time would be the better option for caldari assault. buffing the week side of the RR much like the other races. this would make it so caldari assaults can CQC with the RR and other classes can use the RR as long range as its supposed to be. right now if you use the CK0 assault you might as well put a breach on and call her a day

Swap Caldari and Gallente Assault BONUSES and get it over with...
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

I like my lvl 5 RR reload and Suit Reload. I find it helps. A tactic I have found that works supremely well in CQC is to keep breaking vision contact( Strafe behind a box or something similar). This is the perfect time to stop firing and spool up the RR. Since most of the time the reds try to follow you when you start playing spin around the box, you just need to time when the RR starts shooting to be the same time when the red turns the final corner into your crosshair.The reload helps in this tactic too, instead of respooling, just reload, faint a shot, then start strafing again.

I suggest give caldari gallente bonus and make gal assaults get plus 10 armor repair efficacy per level. Yes ccp . Yes.

One thing that hasn't received attention is the ARR having RR's HIPFIRE.
They say roll with ARR for CQC. 2bad when the Assault variant is no better when that seizure snaps at a few seconds into firing. Not enough to counter that SG **** when he dances 8 meters away and laughs at an otherwise respectable choice of weapon.
Give the Magsex some love.

Excuse my ignorance if there is any, but I simply do not understand.
Zatara has a thread up asking about the same thing.
Now here's my dilemma.
What was the point in increasing kick, if we give bonus to Cal suits that undo the changes? So why have the kick present in the first place? How long before people want that changed?
See what Im saying? Its this constant one step forward, two steps back that I dont agree with.
The kick shouldnt been tampered with in the first place. Make the bonuses pertain to defenses and offensive, not functionality.
We are not Amarr, we are Caldari. Why would Caldari design the rail technology without efficiency?
The whole RR thing doesnt make sense at all. Create the weapon, adjust it minimally and tell those damn folks to suck it up like the shield based defense folks has done for more than a year.
And this is all comes from people who committed to foolish actions in CQC. Dust 514 caters too much to a whining majority that populates these forums. God help you if you dont forum and you play this game religiously.

The kick is not the problem. It is the Charge that is nuts. It makes the gun too difficult to use in any scenario. At close range, it is completely terrible because of the Charge. Sure, "Mission Accomplished" there but at medium-long range I would rather have a Combat, Scrambler, or possible even an Assault Rifle because of that damned .6 second Charge.
However, making the Caldari Assault make up for that Charge keeps the weapon in the "nearly unusable" state for Scouts, Logistics, and Commandos.

Not needed. Breach , TAC and Burst AR's Kill with no problems at all 60+mts range....SOMEHOW...
