I've been experimenting with several fits as part of my weekly respec tests. So far, I've created two ADV "Light Assaults" that I enjoy using for regular pub matches, but I can't really decide on which one I should keep after my next respec. Between the two fits I am about to mention, which seems like the better fit? They are almost identical.
Scout g/1 Series
Complex shields x2
Complex reactive x2
Complex plate
Breach Assault Rifle
Breach Scrambler Pistol
Core Locus Grenade
Nanohive
Compact Nanohive
&
Scout a/1 Series
Complex shields x2
Complex reactive x2
Basic Plate

I have a Gal Scout and a Min Assault so I guess I'll wade in.
I could go check it at protofits.com but meh.
With the 2 reactives and the plate I am guessing your sprint speed is the same or possibly lower than an Assault suit.
Your eHP is going to definitely be considerably lower than a similarly equipped Assault.
If you have max Ewar then your scouts will be off the tacnet but so will an Assault with max Ewar to most all others except scouts.
You are foregoing Assault suit bonuses.
So with your "Light assault" you are getting less speed than an Assault, less eHP than an Assault, no Assault bonuses in exchange for being off the Tacnet.
With a true assault similarly fitted you get more speed (ferroscales), more eHP, bonuses, and with max Ewar you are off tacnet to most everyone but scouts.
Assault is better, IMO, than a scout trying to be an assault.

Maybe, but being a scout is better than an assault. Which begs the question, why would a scout downgrade himself to trying to be an assault? Most assaults are trying to imitate scouts and here you are trying to be part of their miserable group.

I hope you die horrible deaths for those fits. You WILL get snuck up from behind if there's an Amarr Scout with max precision and a few damps on the field.
It's a shame only a few players know how good it is. |
