Yop, but I dont think the ps3 can go much higher unfortunatly ^^
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

Frame rate was/is is a problem, but the netcode is a bigger issue.
When people teleport around and move like they are a part of claymation it makes the game look like its running slower than it is.
Sadly this doesn't seem to be the recognized issue, so it will probably be ignored for a long time.

Framerate, netcode, hitdetection, all are messed up. On a side note, has anyone played Borderlands 1 on pc yet? Compared to 2, it had the exact same hitdetection issues and same aa as dust. CCP should ask gearbox how they managed to fix it. |

Bumping for CCP to at least aknowledge it.
I remember somebody returning to Dust514, played 5 hours and then quit. He made a post about it and in it said about framerate issues.

30 is the compromise you make when developers fail.

Frame rate is bad... Not because of the Visual ques but because You'll go from 25+ to 5+ FPS in a firefight... Limiting the rate that your inputs actually are read.
The Netcode is actually worse right now... Players are almost 99% never where you see they are on your client. On CCP Servers they are in a completely different spot... Not even in the same shadow..
This creates this sensation of stop motion gaming... Where medium to long range engagements feel like your guessing at where your target will be rather then tracking your target with aim. It can get terrible Mixed with FPS drops and get near unplayable.
The hit detection system is almost as bad as the other two combined.. It is just terrible in every sense of the word. |
