How can you place the Burst over the TAR when the TAR is just a non chargeable version of the Scrambler Rifle? And how is the ASCR the worst? It is most definitely better than the AR in every aspect except for visual recoil. It's an overly precise weapon that melts through mercenaries with ease taking advantage of slower armor tanking frames to deal repeated headshots.

The tradeoffs are pretty fair...
The only reason I'd say the ScR is better is:
1.) You don't need a skill to IV to use one.
2.) Amarr Assault bonus makes the ScR really good.
Without Amassault, they are equal. Its just that you only ever really see ScRs on Amassaults. The performance of the Amassault and the ScR are codependent on each other.

OP is right. RR is at least competitive in its ideal range, it just sucks outside of that (which it should - no one thinks they should be able to use a LR in CQC, so why should RR be any different?). AR and BuAR are a whole different level of crapness, where even at their ideal range they are outperformed by four or five rifles. |

RR is bad because it is garbage up close (understandable) and due to its ADS kick (even at Op5), its bad at the edges of its effective range, basically giving it the same reliable range of the BrAR at a lower DPS, charge up, etc.
If the RR is going to be this bad up lose, it needs to be the most superior at range, which it just isn't now.
I'm surprised there isn't more outrage against the BrAR. It is basically the RR before the nerf without the charge up and better hipfire and DPS.

While the range really sucks on the standard AR it's not as bad as a weapon as people make it out to be. I've been running a BPO AR and BPO SMG in FW and doing quite well with it. I do have pro 4 in AR and pro 5 in SMG tho... |

Every rifle has situational strength except for the SCR. A tier list is pointless.
And objectively speaking, the standard AR is better than the breach for killing scouts. Higher rate of fire means more shots are landing as the scout strafes past the stream. As the suits become larger and slower, thats no longer a benefit.

1. Range over hipfire effectiveness (assuming you're lvl 5 in racial assault):
ScR > CR > ARR > RR > TAR > AScR > ACR > BAR > BurstAR > AR
2 Hipfire effectiveness over range:
ACR > ScR > BAR > TAR > Burst AR > CR > AScR > AR > ARR > RR |

I think he was saying since he cant hit anything he might as well have half the range lol. I have been using it since it was changed and after the first hour I didn't even notice a difference and today it feels even easier to use. I will add that the AR also has a weaker profile.
