I don't know if they brick it all the way but I see many std amarr running with 700-800 ehp... Its to the point where I try to leave them be cuz I just don't want to deal with that, especially if they have a scr(me being a shield based cal) Oh and I cant stand it when a cal is stacking armor... ******* disgusting to look at

The ehp> everything is a statement that can be said about many mmorpgs. not alot of people want to try the game in a different way, they want to feel safe behind they're tanked out hp.

Complex repair mods are much more useful now, and I generally run a regulator on my minmatar suits. That said my logis are still pretty bricked up. I think some stacking penalties on the plates/extenders (less HP for each additional module) would be all she wrote for brick tanking, and good riddance.

In MMOs its a different situation.

For example: HP/mitigation (EHP) tanks vs. Evasion (RNG) tanks.

Given a properly balanced game, the HP/mitigation tank will always be better because they will be balanced to live through anything the enemy can throw at them if the encounter is being done right. They just WILL LIVE, period, because their effectiveness is based on their EHP. By contrast the RNG tanks effectiveness is based on luck, and on a long enough time scale luck always runs out.

In an MMO the EHP tank is king.

In dust however, its a much more complex situation.

I've always fitted for regen. Even before all the regen mods got buffed or their resources reduced. I was that dude running all Rechargers, Ferroscales, and as many Complex Repairers as I could fit. And it sucked being so fragile compared to all the bricked out logislayers. But it was totally worth it when I would take cover for a few seconds and return at full HP to wreck their surprised face.

I just let the natural regen fix the armor up or pop an allotek if im below half armor.
