The tryhards that are exploiting this broken match making and will leave fw once they have enough lp. Leaving FW as dead as it was before and in turn making it even harder for the rest of us to get matches... so stop queing faction warfare grind pubs until it is fixed.
These guys are so fail they even post racial propaganda to herd the sheep to the faction they wish... don't play into it.. fight for freedom jump into a pub today.
LOL there is nothing broken about match making. FW does NOT have match making and is not meant to. If you dont like it carry your ass back to scrub contracts.

Right, because herding new players into a slaughterhouse was the devs obvious intention when they crafted the apex suits. 60 days of completely unbalanced gameplay to narrow a lesser disparity in balance is a sure way to create enthusiasm in new players I am shocked that I didn't see it sooner.
As for "scrub contracts" lol there is actually competition there because match making makes it is much harder to stack the deck. Maybe once you tryhards are back to kill trading in pc I will hit up FW again.

some really tough games in FW 'at times' but that can't be helped.... it is made for teams to go and kill each other in the name of their chosen faction.. thats what they do BPFM - You need to stop inflicting your solo views on everyone else, especially in FW - It is the one simple place teams can deloy either to train or just have 2 squads chill n' kill
- If you solo, and the enemy team is 'OP' then find a role that helps - Uplinks (the first thing a bad team forgets) - AV support (also left out by bad teams) - Point defence just hold what you can rather than chase a stacked team down.
I deploy any faction once corp choose to run it, I will fight until one of the MMC blows up rather than complain over balance.. if the enemy team is stacked.. either come back with friends or don't go back in It is depressing winning FW without a fight, I actually prefer losing a tough game, than winning empty battles.. |

The Apex suits were admittedly a bad idea and trying to market them to newbies was even worse. This however does not mean FW is a newbie friendly zone.
It's battles take place in Low Sec. Low Sec is dangerous. Low Sec is not a place the unprepared want to go. CONCORD states this for a reason.
The Amarr Empire asks that those unprepared to fight in our bitter and noble crusade against the Minmatar refrain from entering the warzone for your safety.

Playing AV in FW sucks because usually the blueberries for whatever reason seem to assume "a forge gun on our side? YAY that means the two HAVs, 2 ADS and random murder taxi are automatically doomed!"
And promptly go back to milling about getting farmed while you shoot at the fully supported vehicles.
It's hilarious. And costly.
And hilarious.
It's even more funny when you realize that this kind of behavior is endemic and they are all CONFUSED at why nyain san makes them into dumbass puree.
EVE Online is what you get when engineers attempt to create "fun" without consulting someone who comprehends the word.

I've been playing FW for a few days now and I like that its more about winning the match. The public matches now feel like a travesty to me, to be honest. It just feels like mindless grinding there, especially if you just run to get ISK and not just for ******* around.
I kind of regret having to play pub matches now just to get some ISK. There is a serious need for the blueprints there. Thankfully there are some to get there without aurum. (only about 200 matches to go ... ) Less ISK, more fun.
The answer to your complaint is PvE. Always.

They were actually trying to "herd" the competitive players to FW. Seems like it's working as intended from the looks of this thread.

We want to offer more events in the future that cater to both hardcore competitors and casual players alike. Speaking of hardcore, we want to make Factional Warfare the go-to game mode for the elite veterans when they are not fighting Planetary Conquest battles, so the Loyalty Store will get some deserved attention.

I think you are misinterpreting both my intentions and that statement m8. I want to face the best players, but many of us can not field 16 players with any consistency and therefore can not compete. The devs do want FW to be more active and desirable which is the reason for the loyalty store changes and ability to sell items. It would be grand if FW acted as a bridge to pc, but this can not happen with no rotation of players because what you end up with is a team vs. randoms or team vs. team where no productive networking can take place.
Then there is the likely hood of a fleeting player base that little to no competition and fast gain that the current FW play promotes.

Not trying to back up the OP or anything but this is yet more information the game takes for granted that people understand, yet really does not implicitly state anything about Concorde, security status etc...
Actually who am I kidding, this game barely even teaches itself to new players. I've always felt the NPE is one of the areas that needs most attention in this game.

So why not tell the randoms to squad up to make more teams so FW can be a bridge to PC? Doing that would add to the competitiveness of FW and add more people to the rotation to keep it from getting stagnant. There are even channels for you to point the randoms towards to make organization easier. Why tell them to stop running faction so the "try hards" can hurry up and leave? If they leave they go where? Pubs? You sure you want these organized groups there instead of facing each other in FW while not in PC? This game was meant to have teamwork and your talking bad about people actually using teamwork in a gamemode that encourages it. You dont wanna Quesync? Fine, dont do that. Get a squad going at least then run faction. Get your squad to wreck some hoes so you can win. Will there be a chance that it's just your squad against a qsync? Yeah, but sometimes **** is like that from time to time and your squad should take it as a challenge instead of pointing at how unfair it is. You get better doing that.

LP for...suits? I don't understand this strange concept.
On an unrelated note, I'm having trouble hearing the complaints over the 20+ Federation Specialist CreoDron Shotguns, 30+ State Specialist Wyrkomi Swarm Launchers, 15+ Republic Specialist Boundless Combat Rifles, and 40+ Imperial Viziam Drop Uplinks that I am currently buried in after the past couple days. Rotation Master Race, getting all that beast LP exclusive gear.
It's sad to see all the lonely redberries while I'm having fun syncing up with a group of 16 organized players. The stomps can get a bit boring, but the corp funded bounties, militia gear contests, and no-hack challenge matches make it all worthwhile. We've always found ways to keep it interesting. |
