There is no reason to use a regular shotgun instead now that ISK prices are the same.
Also, no other Specialist weapons exist on the normal market. Loyalty stores are fine.
All other Specialists Weapons are either Salvage or FW Gear...
Please, make my Opus pretty...

It's simply the proto k5. Maybe they could have it do less damage in trade for fitting?

The differences between STD/ADV/PRO shotguns are negligible actually. The reason specialist SGs were available is because once upon a time being a scout took skill, and the suits had restricted fitting as part of the skill gap... but the junk scouts complained and got the best suits in the game.
Still don't see assaults used by good players, especially in PC. |

Specialist shotgun technically has less overall ammo when compared to the Proto.
If anything, it needs to have 4 shots in the clip rather than 8.

Back then, even the good scouts complained. Fitting an MK.0 was almost impossible to do well without huge SP investments and even then a Logi could do your job better.
Right now the best scouts left over from that time are trying to keep a functional suit that isn't horrifically OP. I don't want to go back to the dark days, but at the same time, I shouldn't be choosing my Scout over my Assault suit.
Hence why I flood every feedback thread about scouts that I can in trying to get us a valid reconnaissance role with minor combat duties.
