We decided to go a litttle austentiatious and flamboyant with the APEX suits.
We already have Role colors, not because of New Eden lore, because we share Frames between two different Roles for both Heavies and Mediums. Breaking that would also create confusion.
The next batch of new BPO's will possibly be MLT/STD New Eden themed, so suggestions are welcome.
I personally think that every single one looks awesome and brings a much needed flavor to our sometimes monotone existence. Since you have asked for it CCP Rattati I would like to suggest a run of Amarr BPO options Themes are: - Khanid Cyber Knight - Either Tan on Navy Blue- Ammatar Consulate Marine - Grey with Golden High Lights- Imperial Court Paladin - Deep Crimson with Gold HighlightsMy personal Favourite (AKA would throw money at!): Tash Murkon - Grey with Deep Ochre Orange You probably have this already but Thematic Colour Schemes I would like to support the above proposal for the various colour schemes on Amarrian dropsuits. Being a child of the Empyrean Age expansion i would prefer a slight modification on the Khanid colours to black, silver armour and blue visor lights like the old navy ships of the Khanid empire at that time .
tash murkon also looks like a few gallente ships like you have with the lachesis and orneiros from roden ship yards. but thankyou someone else who isnt color blind. theres so many good options for amarr alone.

I personally think that every single one looks awesome and brings a much needed flavor to our sometimes monotone existence. Brought this up with the art team while I was at Fanfest. It was a decision to implement familiarity in a game that... Well, didn't really need it. After a certain distance it's all just silhouettes and the color doesn't matter - be that reason for low LoD at long-distances or because it's too much of a pain-in-the-ass to ask what colors the player is sporting at 70+ meters. Honestly, I'd prefer going with something a bit more practical and functional than "I'm Assault, so let me wear white to show everyone that I'm an Assault." It doesn't make much sense on a tactical level or on an aesthetic level. Did all of the races sit down and convene that they should color-code everything for fairness or something? Even not on a Lore standpoint it doesn't make much sense. I can clearly distinguish a Medium frame from a Light frame just by observation. Color coding has nothing to do with it. In fact, the most confusing color-combination I've found are on the Heavies which I usually differentiate by what weapon they're using. IMO, I'd much rather my suit blend in with the environment (Rattati / Foxfour Gallente Assaults which completely lack the white theme) or adhere to my race's theme ( Starter Fit ).
ive been in squads so many times where were just laughing at how the assault suits are storm troopers. theres so many ships in eve for each race to take colors from and they were just lazy and went herp derp white and black it is. id be willing to bet money that the people who colored these initially who were probably fired for being terrible at their job have never even seen a ship in eve. because its just completely wrong.

They're still with CCP. Honestly, I can understand the logic they had when they were going that route (differentiating different roles between one another) but I personally would prefer more lore-friendly or tactically viable colorations instead of class color coding.
