http://dust514.com/news/blog/2014/11/introducing-apex-series-bpo-dropsuits
"However, the APEX-Series will grow in power as the player accrues Skill Points and unlocks Skills that improve the Dropsuit and any equipped Weapons and Gear. A skill that adds 5% hitpoints to all Dropsuits will also affect the APEX-Series, and a skill that decreases the kick of a weapon will decrease the kick of the weapon equipped on an APEX-Series Dropsuit."
That sounds the same as any other suit in this game to me. Am I missing something here or is this just a proto BPO that's permanently stuck with basic modules?
All I can say is thank jesus tapdancing christ they're not AUR exclusive... otherwise I'd be a little ticked off that I just bought these quafe suits for what would essentially be nothing.

Yup, though currently there is bug that allows you to edit them if you "make a new suit," which is horribly broken.

They aren't any different other than that they're free.
And yeah, I would be ticked if they were AUR exclusive. They would have been an issue, then.

They are different. From what I have read, the PG / CPU are redicklessly high. Like 999/99. That is for the suits that are able to be modified right now. |

Actually I'm still kind of ticked off about it because not only does this almost completely make my quafe suit obsolete but the only way to effectively make use of my quafe suits will be to either use different module combinations or to use ADV modules and weapons.
Let me log onto the game and check how "good" these apex suits REALLY are...

That is for the suits that are able to be modified right now. Its a bug. Not an intended feature of the suits. I wouldn't consider that to be a feature of the suit, since once the bug is fixed the CPU/PG of them will be 100% meaningless.

I thought it would make my Quafe suit obsolete, but it doesn't.
I still use my Quafe Assault A-1 if I want to use different weapons or pretty much anything other than a brick-tanked ScR fit. As far as having a suit for grinding ISK though, yeah. The APEX is better.
That and my Quafe is purple. Still looks 9001% better than anything else.

I can almost guarantee you it's going to obsolete my Amarr Sent and possibly even Gal Scout

APEX and LP suits are literally a waste of a proto suit. You can't fit them with modules, and I can fit an ADV suit better on my own.
The kicker for these is the fact that they are FREE. And they're actually pretty decent free suits.
You can use these to grind LP in FW at 100% profit. And then you can use all that LP to buy PROTO.
That is the kicker for these. Excellent ways to grind LP once you have them. I will be acquiring as many of these as I can. At lvl 7 standings with a single booster, you can get around 2k LP a win. It will just take me 50 wins to get a suit. Rinse and repeat for every suit I want (Which is minmatar EVERYTHING)
Bullet Hell and Duct-Tape? Count me in!
FA recruits get free officer BPO's. Enlist today. Must be a scrub to enter.

Once they fix the bug, I'll still find definite use in my Quafe.
