So, I was looking at the skill bonuses and was wondering why the minmatar gets an armour resist to blasters. It doesn't make sense as gallente are their allies. All if the sentinels get a bonus to resists of an allied weapon which to me is a little strange. |

I agree the resists are somewhat strange. I was looking over this the other day. Correct me if I am wrong but basically the resists are not equal to all sentinels (in terms of shield shield / armour armour / shield armour *res) and it would appear that the resists are basically to cover the suits weakpoints?
Caldari sentinel for instance gets 15% res to blasters (a +10% shield weapon) and 10% to lasers (a +20% shield weapon). However the Caldari are Allied to the Amarr.
I forget how things were in EVE to compare as it has been so long for me.

They get resists to main guns.
Eg. Gal an amarr to projectiles
Caldari to lasers
etc.
Still stupid. 1600k hp ****** needs resistances to kill these poor berries?

It's because their allied weapons have increased damage towards them.

even if they are allies it dosnt show in dust (unlike eve)
you fight for minmatar in FW gain standing.. you then go fight for gallente, the supposed ally and you lose faction with minmatar.
same goes for cal/amarr too
if this was changed then more people may play fw and play for allied sides..

actually yes sentinels are slow and all too easly picked off at range and easy to hit that is why they have the resists.
oh and amarr sent gets like 2000 ehp

Yeah, it is silly. It needs to be changed. You should have to enlist in FW not just fight for whoever you feel like. That said, it would be fantastic if we could trade LP items with other players. Love the caldari store but I'm not fighting for them.
