Smart deploy forces you to spawn at an up-link if there is only one. Make it so that you either click X to choose the uplink as normal and hit Triangle to let the smart deploy put you where it normally would sans uplinks. 9/10's of the time the uplink is being camped early in the match and you have no choice but to wait for it to be destroyed or spawn and get farmed for clones. |

i agree i have said this soo many times.. Smart deploy needs to be separated from Uplinks/MCRUs/CRUs

I thinknit just uses the uplink as a timer if there is only one when you hit triangle. Based off experience. Not saying that smart deploy is not broken. I've smart deployed in the middle of the other teams entire team. Clearly needs attention. But it is what it is...

This.
Smart Deploy will not force you to spawn on the uplink, though it may appear that way because of questionable UI design.
I'd love if Smart Deploy did show you where it was spawning you ahead of dropping you in the map, but it doesn't.

It does. If you press triangle for smart deploy, you'll spawn elsewhere, but the screen will show that it is spawning you on the uplink to have some visual countdown. |

They should tweak the algorithm though. If several people are killed right after spawning, the next spawn is far away.
