Okay so I just finished skilling into the ADS and I have so much difficulty trying to aim, I can barely even understand where the pointer is. Do I absolutely have to switch to first person mode to get a cross hair? Because even in that mode, the difficulty of aiming and controlling the ship is really really hard.
Does anyone have any tips on the aiming? |

Git gud.
Seriously, it takes a crapload of practice to get used to the aiming. Biggest thing though, don't focus too much on the aiming and forget about steering. You have to pay attention to both the turret and dropship movement if you don't wanna crash. First person is extremely limited, and you'll find yourself hurling toward the ground if you're not paying attention. I've been at it for like 3 months and can barely get any kills. Really, just practice, practice, practice.

I've been flying a python for as long as I can remember but I'm just not really good at giving pointers off the top of my head. If you want you can message me in game or you can also try to talk to Derrith Erador.. He's another great ads pilot, just don't give up that easy even I find it hard to get kills sometimes. |

just a random idea? have you tried first person view?
you can change views wit r3 in vehicles between third person and first person.
just in case you didnt know for whatever reason, otherwise id just say practice.
Don't vote for iron wolf saber.

Look up Judge Rhadamthus' DS tutorial series. Learn how to fly well and crash many many many ADSs until you're numb to it.
Practice in your redline. Focus on a spot and just shoot at it for a while. Orbiting is a great skill to learn too.

use a missile launcher, it's hard but each kill gets easier. extremely satisfying. if he gets under you/behind do not transfix, let him go and concentrate on not crashing, get your bearings and make another pass. you can fool infantry into thinking your leaving so they come out of cover but you come back at them. you can kind of slide into an orbit pressing L1 and do like a half circle around your target. try to relax and feel the shot out. dont waste shots it only takes a few to kill infantry.
