PC provides lack luster broken mechanics and one battle every 24 hours unless you are a rich corp. Pubs are just an easy win and then an easy loss thanks to match making being meh.
If you want to mess with FW just fix the contract generation so that a real push on one side can mean something instead of staring at a stagnate starmap. Atleast make it so that it turns to all defense contracts at 70% instead of 55% so that we can feel like we are fighting back and forth. |

Hmmmmm while I am against putting artificial limits on who can fight who in FW there does need to be a way for the opposing militia to be able to counter other squads and teams.
I refer back to EVE a lot but in their version of FW you can set up fleets of players on plexes and no one might bother you at all. Consequently another fleet might snap up the opportunity to fight against another even sized or smaller fleet.
I like the idea of patrols but I definitely do not like how the answer to this question is worded.

Personally I have no intention or desire to engage in Planetary Conquest and by no means should this become the only game mode where players have to organised themselves logistically to form teams.
As with FW in EVE its all about how much effort you yourself are willing to put in that determines success or failure and I would hate to see FW balanced and have its mechanics based around the individual player instead of the invested team player.

That being said I do love a good punch up in FW and miss the old days when PIE Inc Q-Syncs matched up against New Age Outlaws, Carbon 7, and Restlessspirits.

FW already has been stated to favor squads. What this means is if both sides have squads queued up then those squads will fight each other. This works perfectly and allows for these so called "patrols" to be formed at anytime.
In Eve if you go into a plex and get jumped by a 20 man neutral fleet cause they are bored you never have a chance. And if you put together a fleet you do the gang banging. How is this any different than the current state of FW? |

So you enjoy being redlined by 2q synced squads + rest with adv/proto?
The worst part is not how many sentiniels/scouts etc they spam. It's how much they lag the game. You know when someone is near you because lags grow.

Thats the point of FW. If you dont like it fix it. People have been posting FW channels all over the place.
We very routinely Q 16 people and if we do not have 16 people we invite anyone that jumps in our squad to the channel and bring them along for many more. Maybe instead of crying about Q syncs you should be a little more social or atleast spend a little time geting a full squad together.
Even when we Q 16 and run into JNS and his guys with one full squad they give us a good fight. This is because they have their squad that works well together and they stick together and destabilize our people allowing for the randoms to move about. There are a couple other squads who just their squad give all 16 of us a fight for the same reason.
The whole point of FW is you do not know what you are going to get so you have to come prepared for anything, if you do not like this the answer is simple, GO BACK TO SCRUB CONTRACTS.
FW greatly rewards wins and leaves you pulling in little from a loss, if Scotty starts to decide matches then we may as well just make the payout work like pubs as well.

I agree. Fw is good , a tier step up from pubs. A place to practice outside of pc. A community builder , by seeking out fw channels and participating. Btw what was the old mode they got rid of called corp battle or something, if fw is changed ,maybe time to bring that back?

It's not about whether you enjoy it. It's a matter of one team being organised and yours not. What Dusters have to realise if they ever want to be a part of the EVE universe is that its not fair. You never will get a fair fight. Hell most people won't even engage unless they thing they have the advantage.
I wouldn't be again being lined up against Sync'd FW team if we could either A.) Choose where our battles take place or B.) Able to continue to Sync if opposition "Patrols" step down for the day.

That and lose estimated time and replace it with number of people in Q on your team and on opposite team.
