I'm taking a break from dust because I simply can't afford to run anything half decent with the nerfed payouts. Everyone is running bullshit tactics to scrounge for isk, and every match seems to be more one sided than ever. Have fun in the meantime everyone o7 |

Just run basic gear.
Basic assault suits (if you don't have one, play one round of FW) can reach up to a good 700 eHP.
Militia heavies, and starters work too

Why are people still comparing the bugged payouts to how they should be? The bugged payouts were bugged, as in incorrect, not working as intended. You aren't getting your million isk public payouts back anytime ever. |

Yeah I have basic suits, but shotguns/remotes/rail rifles/ hmg's don't seem to care about ehp lol
Edit: I'm not referring to the bugged ones. I'm just saying that I'm receiving less isk on average than before and it's most likely because I've been half assing it tbh. Besides frequent dust breaks is good for your mental health :P |

The payouts work weirdly. If you just putz around and not actually take part, you get a pretty good payout. If you do anything constructive then you need to do alot of it to make good isk. You can't just kill one person or hack one thing and then chill somewhere (unless the person you killed was roadkill). |

I don't know what it is(maybe after almost two years I finally managed to get good), but the matches I've had recently have payed out in the ballpark of 275K-300K which is pretty good by my standards. Especially since I've mainly been running my Quafe Min Sentinel with a standard Assault HMG.

Are you reading these posts? I got 12k ISK after a full match! Went against a full squad in proto scout/assault/logi/sent, of course with proto weapons. I lost 9 suits that match. Minimum suit cost is 3k (MLT with all MLT gear). My 'average' suit cost is around 10-15k. Four matches tonight, only one match broke above 20k ISK.
I know I'm not 'good', but this pretty much sucks right now. I really would like to see the ISK payout weighted more towards those that do well and rank higher on the EOM kill board, but you shouldn't get next-to-nothing unless you're actually doing nothing. I mean, I may not have got the kill, but I did do damage. I was at least trying to play... |

You might not be but most of us are. Granted 1.9 day, the pay outs were too high, obviously. However it would be nice to get 500k - 1m pay outs when you do really well. Right now my best are in the 300-450k region and that's when the stars all align for me.
By the way do you need some isk to help you out?

That's about where I feel it should be too. Maybe 1.5 mil at the top end when you do exceptionally swell. Not enough to necessarily feel 'comfortable running full decked proto every match, but not so low a single lost proto suit leaves you guaranteed negative either.
And thanks for the offer, I have enough banked to carry me through for a while. Hopefully at least until they get this payout tweaked a little bit more.  |

thats the thing shanks the bittervets at high rank get better payouts but us at the bottom of the pile have effectivly gotten a 50k+ isk nerf per match

basic assault with basic gear is like 10k its not too bad to run.
militia heavy+militia hmg sucks.. its like a pea shooter compaired to even basic HMG
as for starter suits.. only the starter sniper is worth useing.

My rank 10 means I get paid the same as I got pre patch.
Besides the payouts in DUST suck badly. The only people who have no problem with it are people who already have in excess of 200m+ banked
Running proto all the time isn't something I feel should be a thing but advanced should be sustainable without having to revert back to sh*tfits for 3/4 matches.

If you can't do halfway decent in Basic gear, you won't do much better in Proto gear.
Proto doesn't make you aim better or strafe better. It doesn't magically turn you into a good FPS player.

been away for a extended period, but had 2 days since the patch.
the range of isk i have got for battles is 250-400k per skirmish running basic and advanced suits there is alot of proffit to be made with the current payout system from what i have seen.
i run basic 80% of the time and advanced 20% and i am quite happy to throw suits at lost causes to slow down the enemy, yet i still make a good profit. could i run advanced all the time and make a proffit? of course though i would have to play less sadistically when it comes to protecting lost causes.
i should point out that i mostly play solo where by you will loose alot more suits i find than when i play in groups. but tbh at my level i do not think i could run a proffit in proto suits with being in a group and make proffit, but on the other hand i do not beleive this should be viable either. |

The bugged pay outs was also the reason the release of 1.9 was the best day of Dust I've ever had. I could afford to actually play my more creative loadouts, and run something other then just standard suits and break even. And try my favorite tactic which is just hovering over a battle in a Dropship while some random guy is playing gunner.
Theres always money in the banana stand.

I still think the payouts should be better. Not as high as the bugged payout but i think a player who can get around 2500-3000 WP should be able to net just short of a million isk. Logi who run good equipment and repair would get a decent payout but no more than that. Therefore one could bring in at least one or two expensive items and still make a profit, marginal but it may be worth it in the least. That would also mean even if you are getting stomped if you were putting in an effort...you could still make money to counter the assets lost.

This has already been discussed. We are not wanting the bugged payouts back. Maybe it would make sense to balance payouts towards fully advanced suits, so basic and proto have more drastic pay flow differences while advanced can be run consistantly? |

When you're in the bottom rungs of a match, then maybe we can see eye to eye on this. When basic suits run 10k average, 5 deaths means you're just breaking even. Should Dust become the game of hide and seek? The game is tough enough without penalizing people in pub matches for not being 'gud'. Faction and PC? Sure, those are the 'cool kid clubs'. Pubs? Come on... |

lol still have a problem with the payouts and I have hundreds of millions across a few characters.

There is nothing wrong with calling for an increase in payout. Rattati and the CPM are already discussing it. I actually expect to see some part of the Nov 4 payouts come back.
Good payout has nothing to do with how good someone is in a match. There is zero incentive to try hard.
This is coming from someone that has plenty of money, and wants to see matches get lively again.
Nothing is proven by having so many broke people so unwilling to play.
On November 4, Dust was like the ugly girl no one liked, until she got herself looking pretty for prom night.
A day later, she let herself go again.
I can't stomach playing for long stretches with this garbage payout + MU system.
I don't mind a crap payout for a crap match. But give me a good payout when I try hard.
Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.
