Skill 5 in both Amarr Assault & Scrambler Rifle Operation.
I can burn through all 72 rounds of Assault Scrambler without overheating, but can only get 23 rounds off before overheating with the semi Scrambler Rifle?

The semiauto scrambler rifle does vastly more damage per shot.
It's designed around the overheating as a weakness. If you could fire it all off without overheating it would be OP beyond belief.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
Currently challenging CCP Rattati for the queef

The semi auto scrambler does more than double the damage of the automatic.

I said more than double. I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head. If the scr got 36 shots it would be the most overpowered weapon in the history of dust.

Thing is, the AScR doesn't apply the high damage of the ScR in the same short period of time, it takes much longer. If that weren't the case, then you'd be right, but as is, the ScR and AScR are pretty reasonably balanced with each other.

All I know is that Pre-Delta, I could fire way more than 23 rounds before overheating; and the complaints that lead up to its nerf were pertaining to its RoF abuse by turbo controller users & not its heat mechanism.
