Can we tone down the kick holy cow it has more kick than any rifle I've seen on any game. Not pre hotfix kick for the haters but at least just tone it down a bit i can't hit things after twn rounds inat 60m anymore without stopping and charging up again. It eliminates the long range element

I think the latest round of changes and toned down hipfire nerf have helped a bit in CQC, but you do rightfully point out that the delay also affects long range engagements. At least at range a delay typically just means a missed kill. Up close, it means death.
IMO, these nerfs have gone to far -- but we shall see.
Given the gun was already highest in terms of K/S (I suspect because of the relatively risk-free long range engagements and the set up of the maps) along with it being the most used weapon in pubs, something needed to be done.
If I have a concern it's that the RR will be relegated to a niche similar to the LR, and given how low on the totem pole the RR's use already is in PC, it use will drop off completely at that level. |

It's actually worse. Unlike the hipfire kick of the RR, which is mostly in the vertical direction and relatively predictable, the ARR kicks left and right and random is even more difficult to use in CQC (or CQB, as you like to call it).
Which makes no sense as the ARR is supposed to be the shorter range of the two, yet it is actually worse when used up close. It's lack of scope and (perceived) increased dispersion ADS make it much worse at range too.
Which explains, quite succinctly, why the usage (and K/S) of the ARR is a lower than the RR. |

Kick is fine, if you get rid of the kick it will become OP, plus the range should be nerfed just a few meters does way too much damage to a heavy at 90 meters out. Overall I think the rail rifle is fine if you add these modifications.

ARR pos at max skillz I have a better chance of melee and it doesnt hipfire worth a sh!t
RR kick is too much for range I shouldnt have to charge more than twice for a kill
