Dom matches used to be brutal, very often ending with cloned-out wins, each MCC would be on its last few HP and kill counts ran high as both teams constantly push against each other.
Now, the winning team ends with at least 100 clones and the losers not much less. Each team starts with 150 clones and each team kills less than half the other's reserves.
One team captures and camps the objective spamming scanners to spot every enemy advance. The other team never really mounts an offensive. They spam their own scanners and see a wall of blue between them and the objective so they opt to ineffectively pick away kills at the edges. None really gets close to any actual combat.
At the end the leaderboard reflects this tale. WP hauls are low, very few break 1000 and Ks and Ds run in mostly single digits.
Domination matches have been my favorite for a long time. The action was intense and focused. Now, sadly, they are nearly a snooze fest.

Um, Dominations were almost always one sided, unless both teams were all pro or all noobs.
The first team to get to the objective with a heavy and a logi with uplinks and Nanos usually win the match because they start setting up a base and it's really hard to get past a well-established defence.
Having scanners changed to team based has so little value on the outcome of Dominations, when it comes to those types of teams, it's laughable at best. |

Yeah, I agree. Ever since the team balancing update, i've played doms that are almost as competitive as PC matches. Matches where I don't who wins until end match screen comes on. (did we clone them out or did they reck out mcc?)
The doms i've played ever since 1.9 have been one sided. Ewar in his game is broken. It needs to be removed and redesigned. |

Yeah someone is looking at dom through rose tinted glasses. Only after that team balancing fix did they start to become more like what he's talking about but there were still plenty of one sided matches (this is because that fix didn't impact who got put into a match, just what team they got put on).

i forget what the new map is called, but where you first spawn in game is about 130m away from objective. All i did was gal logi scan that thing for the whole dom match and got 4th place. there's a supply depot there too so i could non stop scan by switching suits. |

Is it the shared scans or the new maps and redline? Dom has sucked since 1.9, and is more like Ambush. Maybe it is both but scans haven't played a big part in the games I've played.

Dom used to be one sided. Dom matches actually focus on the objective now and are no longer one sided.

Domination is so boring I usually start falling asleep and have to go make a cup of tea halfway through the game. Any alteration to the way a Domination match can play out is absolutely welcome in my eyes. |

Hmm what is better in DEFO onesided mode, rush like CoD style for kills/deaths or more tactix like game..hmm i choose tactical game boyo
