I had nowhere else to vent and I had to say this and get it off my chest. I am a disabled vet and I wanted the legalization of a certain plant for my chronic pain and to treat several chronic diseases that occurred during my time in the military. I use often but I am afraid one day I will be arrested for a small amount. I am not a drug addict for if I was I would want to take the meds they prescribe, but each time I turn around they are increasing the dosage or adding another to offset the side effects.
I use for it helps and if I was prescribed it, I would not need to take any of the other meds. My problems are not curable the doctors themselves said this would be best for the pain do to less side effects but since it is illegal in the state of Florida they cannot. They would have to get a special permit to allow me to use and carry from the feds and I am just a small fish.
So that is why I am so angry for we had nearly 59% vote yes and we only needed 1 more damn percent. Guam and even D.C. voted yes to medical but Florida the communist state said no. I am moving as soon as I can from this horrible state and getting as far as I can from the Bible belt. Christians if your against this then please read the Word for it states. Genesis 1:29 God gave man the right to all seed bearing plants for us to consume. If your against because the lies you where told I have a truth to tell you to this date not one person has died from this plant and is to this date being prescribed to children for medical use in one form or another. Alcohol and tobacco is more additive and kills more people than MJ EVER HAS.
Our freaking Constitution was written on hemp paper. Our forefather where growers and users. What went wrong?
I am so angry for the ones who said no, do not need it. When the day comes and they finally admit it does do certain medical things which has been proven, for all you have to do is ask the survivors, then they will want theirs.
I apologize if I come off the wrong way. I just want fairness for it is my body I should be able to do what I want with it as long as it does not infringe upon another. Medical rights for all. The right to choose your own health plan.

I have thought about it. Leaving and going to South America or Canada. I have been to Mexico and I liked it and no it wasn't a tourist trap town it was actual Mexico. The people where awesome, but if I am going to leave I am going as far as I can go. If Argentina wasn't so messed up at the moment I might visit.

Out of all the states I expected to say No; I didn't expect florida to be on that list.
This may be from the fallout of having to deal with pain medicine dispensaries being abused to hell in florida though.
Also florida is not part of the bible belt

No its not technically part of the bible belt but Alabama and Georgia are they have influence in the northern part. Also they where part of the groups protesting against it.

A few other states said yes, I know moving from one state to another is imposible for some people but its not out of the realm of possibilities. It can be hard though if you're leaving family friends and whatnot behind.
I did hear that voters 65 and older are most likely to say no, so maybe massive quantities of retired people who move to florida have an influence there on the vote too? And maybe conservative hispanic people as well, they have an influence and are a growing population in every state.
Maybe next year or two though, sorry that you're not getting the stuff that helps you deal with the things you gotta deal with. |

dont lose hope calvin. quite a bit of the folks that voted against the amendment only did so because it was vaguely worded and left open a bunch of areas that could be abused. Those same folks, said they would vote for it, if the wording was changed to eliminate the loopholes. It might also help, if John Morgan only bankrolls the thing and is not the face of it. There are quite a bit of folks democrat and republican alike that do not like that dude. |

It was pulled in with the opiate act same as hemp. henp was made illegal because it was hurting the tree paper industry and opiates were made illegal so they could only be prescribed pharmaceuticaly in pills. Our country is retarted. |

Keeping it illegal is another way of saying racism still exist. Every drug in America that is illegal was made this way do to racism.

I don't remember entirely but it actually had more than 50% of the vote but it was not enough to be passed. I don't remember

easy now killer. that attitude makes you just as bad as a right winger that hates all liberals. try and keep an open mind about things. sometimes the dems are right, sometimes they are wrong and vice versa for the repubs.
