Get yourself a nice, basic ranged sidearm and a basic HMG. This shouldn't cost you very much SP at all.
Skill shield recharge up to 3. You don't even need a Sentinel suit for this - just use a Militia Caldari Heavy Frame. Throw some advanced shield energizers on that puppy and watch the magic happen.
At the proto level, a Cal Sent can fully recharge hundreds of shield HP in seconds. Just drift in and out of cover and you're practically invincible. Bring a friend along and you can even have a heads up against your mortal enemy: Shotgun scouts.

It's not shotgun scouts you should worry about. It's us bastard Gallente Commandos breaching and clearing with a shotgun/Plasma Rifle combo. Especially asshats like myself that maxed out Gallente Commando and the prof. for shotguns (and almost for Plasma Rifle, but there's a reason I haven't and it trails back to ye ol' beta times).

Sentinel ck0 3 complex shield energizers 1 complex shield extender 1 complex armor plate mlr or six kin burst hmg breach submachinegun
600+ shield 600+ armor 120+ shield regen/sec ~1 second depleted delay ~4 second normal delay ~500 damage per burst
>>>go from 0 to 600+ shield in 5 seconds<<< (not counting delay... which is already short)
Use cover while shooting your death cannon and switch to smg if overheating becomes a problem.
The downside? Every time you die, your wallet sheds a tear.

My friend is running around with the Quafe sentinel C-1, a bolt pistol blueprint, HMG blueprint, probably has shield recharge blueprint. He goes like 25/2 against stacked teams.

Caldari Sentinel's that know what they're doing are annoying as heck to deal with.
You must apply constant pressure because everything you did will be undone before you can reload, but if you are too aggressive they will eat you with their HMG.
It's definitely more tricky to use than a "CHARGE IN AND KILL EVERYTHING" armor heavy, but they're not ineffective.

Well thats the fun of it, I either insta blap you or get my shield steamrolled...
then im either further steamrolled or get to cover to lick my wounds.
The thing is, 6 ish seconds later (not that hard to manage) I can return with another 600+ shields.

I meant use an extender not a thurd energizer, really helps 1v1's.

IMO On most other fits I would agree, but that one is purely a "cover and regen" suit so I like the 120 shield regen vs ~85 ish (?) and a little bit more shield I would have got from another extender. I figured the armor plate made up enough health buffer to go CRAZY on the regen speed (and I switched to a plate from a regulator since the suit already has short delays to begin with)

0.8 sec Regen delay, I can't even hop to cover my shields are up again. The Caldari Sentinel is awesome.
