Of course a large portion of us ADS users use third person view...but HOW do you aim?
Do you swivel around your target if they are in the open, or swoop down on them, quickly bombarding your enemies? As a good caldari scout, and a good passenger dropship pilot i still have to get used to the controls of ADS, because looking at the ground is something i still have to get used to.
but, i need some advice...
how do you aim with ADS?

With practice it's horrible to aim with the ads but with time you will learn, the reason I am not answering your question directly is because I have no clue how I am with it, just muscle memory knows what to do.

You can either sway sideways, strafe aiming, and fire at the centre point, or circle around the target and fire. The latter is far harder but is far more accurate.
For blaster just land on them like Delt said.

I have trouble strafe aiming...but i have tried bombarding them from heights! It works!

If fighting another dropship, 1st person cam all the way. Lead my target with those sexy missiles!
3rd person cam and try to strafe circle infantry. Though sometimes I actually find I have better luck if I 'wave' the aiming reticle over the general area and use trigger control to pick the right 'spot' to fire, if that makes sense.

Yeah, i know what you mean....just if i take to long to kill somebody then i get hit by the OP swarm launchers and forge's. In PC battles rarely do i see an ADS pilot for some reason even though they are needed

Many people think ADS is easy mode; those people never tried aiming with an ADS in a hostile environment.

Joking aside, I swivel the Right Analog Stick way UP so I have an overview of my ship. I use the enemy chevrons that I can see through my ship and I use Missiles so I don't have to be entirely accurate. I am a novice at flying Assault Dropships though. I have all the Skill points but am just getting to the point to where I am no longer totally giddy that I aimed at a dude and killed him (but I am still a little surprised each time it does happen.) I am a 6 year old kid that found daddy's gun really.
