So, I decided to reward CCP for the recent string of mostly good hotfixes and the upcoming 1.9 patch. What better way to do this than buy some AUR?
I headed to the market, brought the PSN store window where AUR package offers are displayed, waited for them to show and...waaaaaited. And waited. Then I waited some more. Then I gave up.
The next day, I tried again, this time timing the wait: 4 minutes and 37 seconds. Then it timed out and I was told to try again some other time.
I tried again later; it took 6 minutes and a couple of seconds before I lost patience and restarted the game - since you can't cancel this window before it's done loading.
I finally went into the PSN store outside the game and managed to buy an AUR package. No huge waits there.
As an experiment, I tried opening the AUR purchase window again a bit later. I actually got it open, but I don't know how long it took, since I left the room for about 15 minutes while it was loading.
It's probably not good for business to have the most obvious way to give you money be hampered by an ridiculously long wait. |

the PlayStation Store connection has always been really slow I wish they could do some caching to make it faster
Over 60+ Million SP and full proto in all Caldari Suits. No matter how hard CCP tries Dust just won't die on PS3/Xbox.

I found that it was best to access the PSN store from the PS3 menu directly. Seriously, you can quit Dust, access the PSN Store, buy AUR, exit the store and restart Dust all in the time necessary to get the store to come up in Dust. 
The Dust514 interface has always been nearly useless.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

Worked for me a few days ago. Took maybe 20 seconds.
That said, I've seen the delay be much longer.
Luckily, every single transaction has gone through, and I think this issue is more Sony's doing than CCP's. |
