With the optimism surrounding the announcement of various good things in 1.9, I was wondering who is considering a trip to fanfest next year.
It feels like DUST could be around for a while now, so maybe it's worth the effort. What do you think?
Best case scenario - CCP announces greenlit Legion for PS4
Worst case scenario - CCP waits until the DUST keynote theatre is full... then railguns the lot of us for daring to dream...

Just a heads up: Nothing was mentioned about Dust 514 or Legion at EVE Vegas, nothing is mentioned in the Fanfest 2015 schedule regarding Dust 514 or Legion.
There is a big probability Fanfest 2015 will not even have a presentation about the above.

But I am going to spoil it for CCP.
1. Legion is canceled.
2. All dev work is now going to go towards putting an fps on the wii.
3. They are more laser focused than ever.
4. I was just made CEO
5. I am banning Arkena because I am on a power trip with my new CEO powers and because I am a jerk.
This is all completely 100% true. Expect big things for dust on the wii! Buy aurum today everyone!

Why would anybody willfully set foot in Iceland unless Bjork is doing a striptease? Come to think of it, CCP should do that just to get DUST players to go.

I remember that thread - and the general backlash following the legion/pc announcement fiasco. I watched it on youtube (I think) and was pretty miffed myself.

It was, almost for sure, a fare, BUT... The problem is that we all thought it was True, cause it exactly tells what Dust players experienced during fanfest! Didnt you hear how Regnyum was pissed off during one of the presebtations? |

EDIT: Schedule not released yet, I meant their web site.
The reason for that was because there was nothing planned. EvE Vegas was a 100% EvE event and everyone knew this. Even if they had stuff to show, the would not. |

As many will tell you, I have a mostly optimistic view of Dust/Legion's future so consider that when I tell you this:
Unless you also play Eve Online, I wouldn't go to Fanfest 2015. Dust/Legion fans were swiftly kicked in the jim-jams last year and I would be incredibly gun shy about spending my money to travel to Iceland.
I believe the radio silence on Legion will be lifted at Fanfest 2015. I can't say if that will be a good or bad thing yet. What I can tell you, is CCP will post the videos of Fanfest later (for free). People will post keynote highlights on the forums. Save yourself some money, don't go.

If there's a good showing for Dust/Legion at Fan Fest 2015 I may consider maybe attending Fan Fest 2016 [from my computer stream]. Seriously, it's not even worth wasting your time watching. Just visit the forums the next day and if the reaction is good watch the highlights.
