I'm thinking about coming back to shoot mans here and buying a respec to get completely out of vehicles. Why not tell us the price? The reveal is two days away anyways. I need to know if you guys are going to try and charge 20 bucks so I can decide whether or not to log in or laugh about it as I log in to planetside.
Unrelated: it sure would be nice if you all had a coherent design for your vehicles and how they work with infantry. Vehicle health and usefulness changing like I change underwear + being stuck in worthless vehicles is a strong motivation to not spend money. Well okay, bye. |

I'd say just make the respec cost 7,000-10,000 AURUM.
Cheap enough to attract. Expensive enough to discourage.
(It's a respec not, a BPO.)

CCP is always silent on exact numbers before a patch.
Put your flags up in the sky.
And wave them side to side.
Show the world where you're from.
Show the world we are one.

Because the price is gonna shock the shiite out of you when you see it.
It's common in business to not disclose a price for products or services when the company knows the price is not an attractive selling point.
CCP doesn't want players to have time to digest the price. They want players buying the respec when they are emotional on the release day and not take the time to think on it. They will sell more that way. Like a buying frenzy. All emotion.
It's the same reason, as an example, Mercedes Benz doesn't advertise that their high end model costs $150,000 in a commercial. They want you to come in the showroom, where you are more likely to make an emotional, rather than rational, purchase decision.

My only emotional reaction will be to laugh at it with friends and turn off the ps3. lol if CCP really thinks this will work. |

CCP never releases prices outside the market promo update section, so it should not be a surprised that they are not doing it now.

The price will be very high I think. We do not want people respeccing every damn update to the "meta". I don't want to see 99% of players using the same damn thing. I for one will NEVER buy a respec. Coming from an EvE background, there should not even be respecs here in the first place. Maybe ONE more free one for everyone and that's it. I don't even know anymore but I bet the price is very high like everything else in this game. If it was a good price, they would be hyping it already. |

Yeah my guess is it's going to be pretty expensive to deter people from being able to do it all the time. |

I'm guessing more than twice that. 40,000+
My reasoning is CCP realizes most players will only ever do it once and will pay whatever the asking price is to get that respec, though they may grumble about the price.
The players that would pay 20,000 aurum would also pay 45,000, and CCP knows it.

There's still a slim chance that it could be really cheap and they're staying quiet so people don't rage about the "flood of proto fotms"

HAHAHAH the scrubs who think it will be under 20$
It will probably be 200,000 aurum to stop constant respecs ($75)
