I know it gets a nova knife bonus, but does it get a bonus to melee damage as well? Cos 400 damage from a scout is more than I can get on an assault. |

I know. But I can't get 400 melee damage on an assault suit using only 3 highs. It might be an invisible buff like the cup reduction on nanocircuitry. |

If you had knives equipped, are you sure you didn't just use them?
I am pretty sure the animation is the same on melee with knives, only with a different sound.
And how did you know you were doing 400 HP melee? Were you testing with a friend or was this an in game discovery?
1.9 Where cloaked scouts give way to tanked scouts. Problem solved?

Wasn't knives, could hear the thump sound, he was also running about with a shotgun. I noticed how much damage I took. Lost 185 shields and about 250 armour.

The Minmatar just has a higher base melee damage than assaults, as do most of the Minmatar suits I believe. You get about 430 or so with three complex myfobril stimulants on a Minmatar Scout. 550 on a Minmatar Assault with four stimulants.
Nova Knives are best sidearm.

Before 1.8 the minscout had 90 melee dmg + 5% bonus to melee dmg per level, now he has 120 melee dmg.
If you stack 3 myos you can do 495 melee dmg lol
The pen is on the table.
