Dear CCP,
I do not speak for anyone but myself, but if anyone shares in my views they're welcomed to join in.
First, I'd like to congratulate you on your 1.9 release. Since the announcement of the hotfixes. Rumors have been abound with those that I know that the hotfixes were bandaids to a dying horse. A portrayal of "We cannot afford to put out more significant patches, so we will have to settle for hotfixes instead."
For a lot of us, that spelled 'Doom'; the death of DUST. So there was some animosity held about that - but you know all of this already. I've tried really hard to get back into DUST but ever since fanfest. I'm just "Meh, there's no proof Legion is coming, there's no proof that DUST will survive. Why play?" One might argue to enjoy the game, and that's true. But my time is limited in being occupied with your other big-hit, EVE online.
Tl;DR: I've been checking on Dust since fanfest, haven't been very encouraged by what I've seen until now.
What I am here to say is, thank you for the 1.9 patch. This 1.9 patch whispers hope and evidence of progress. New Content, Bigger Skillcap (on the fence about that one, but I did like the booster stacking). I liked the new moods that you're introducing as well and can't wait to see if you'll implement buffs and debuffs for each of the moods as seen in the LEGION announcement.
I may yet Dust off my DUST Machine... Ah, sorry for the wordplay. And give dust another try. I've definetely posted it on the facebook group that I'm associated with. This patch shows promise. My faith isn't fully restored yet. But you've got me smiling today as I usually go to the DUST forums to search for Project Legion news - which is a masochistic endeavor. And improvements to the game itself. Which is just as bad to see all the QQing by the players.
Thanks for showing progress, CCP. Keep it up.

I was expecting this thread to be more lovey dovey and mushy.
I am leaving disappointed.
I have been diagnosed with "TED" - Taco Eating Disorder.
I can't stop eating tacos.

1.9 is no evidence of any progress. Like the hotfixes, the problems this game has at the very core of its mechanics that it had for a very long time still exist and are not being addressed.
