I turned off the vibration in my controller, but it still happens. To my enemy it looks like I just stopped playing and froze on the spot. While I'm frantically trying to exit those damn screens! What is the meaning of this?! Each time I receive fire from the enemy the map opens up or the screen where you can call in a vehicle. I don't understand. I'm more than frustrated.

As far as I know, this has nothing to do with receiving enemy fire. It's been around for awhile, the glitch itself seems to be partially related to your controller, and CCP's suggestion to fix it is... You guessed it. Get a new controller. Sad, but that seems to be the only way to fix it. Had the same thing happen to me awhile back, kept getting me killed in firefights and everywhere else and I finally buckled and bought a new PS3 controller. Solved the problem right away. Nova Knives are best sidearm.
