So here is the question, do you feel that Assault Suits should have Hard Value bonuses, like the Amarr and Minmatar does, or would you rather that they had Soft Value bonuses, like the Gallente does?
If for example you like the Scrambler Rifle and would only ever use it on an Amarr Assault GÇö would you be upset if the Amarr bonus was replaced by the Gallente one? |

Uh. Yes. Duh, dumbass. Considering a reduction to dispersion would be useless on Laser Weaponry, because it already has really low dispersion, or literally 0 dispersion, in the case of the Laser Rifle. Literally not even a single Amarr Assault user, or even anyone with common sense would like a bonus like that for the Amarr Assault.
That would be like giving the heat reduction bonus to the Minmatar Assault. Of course that would hate it, as it would be useless to them.

I'd totally be upset because I use the LR and it has no dispersion to it.
On a more serious note, I prefer hard bonuses (or just a change to the Gallente bonus if it's not on par with the other bonuses). I'm used to EVE where (almost) every ship has a bonus to their racial weaponry which makes the obvious choice of which ship to use for a certain type of weapon (barring unique fits for unique purposes, such as the Hellcat iirc, Amarr battleship - Abaddon - with artillery). An Amarr ship with energy weapons is simply better than a non-Amarr ship with energy weapons.
I feel that it should be more like that in Dust. The Amarr assault suit does make the use of laser weapons much better than what any other suit can do. Gallente, not so much, as dispersion is something that I feel everyone can counter with personal skill.

Cal assault could compensate the new RR kick. Gal could bullet hose more effectively,or even SG well or PLC better.
As things are now those bonuses would be perfect for the enemies assault suit.

The gal ass beats its commando counterpart in everything but having +1 light weapon.
Leave commandos alone and keep them out of this discussion.
The point is to increase assault effectiveness,not make them even more horrendously OP,assaults aren't the only suits in the game you know.
