I've been using the AScR for a few hotfixes now and I love the thing. Amarr assault V + an advanced AScR is lethal. Caldari and Minmatar evaporate in front of me.
Pair it with an SMG, magsec SMG, or bolt pistol for anti-armor finishing capability.

wasnt it only in hotfix delta that they gave ASCR the extra damage? but i agree a good armor damage sidearm works wonders against armor.

Its a fair amount better. Nothing OP, for sure, the damage profile and armor tanking sees to that, but it's nice to have a viable full-auto option to put on my logi suits. Can't quite fire a full clip before overheating without the Amarr assault but that's certainly manageable compared to the 1/3 of a clip you could fire after Delta. Might just start phasing out the CR except for my CQC-oriented fits now.
Well, not quite yet. Still need to work on that fitting reduction skill....
