The joke has lasted long enough. A new player hasn't the know-how of when to use and not use a nanite injector.
The term "dirty needle" exists in this game, and it may be a jest thing time-to-time, it's helping the team one bit by being revived infront of enemy fire, resulting in 2 lost clones instead of 1.
Replace the nanite injector with a militia repair tool. |

Fun Fact of the day:
I didn't actually know that a repair tool existed in this game until I had played it for 6 months. At least, I spent a bunch of sp into "remote repair systems" before I knew that those were actually vehicle modules and not equipment.
The entire time I had no idea about militia gear on the marketplace where I could try out most weapons, suits, and equipment without having to spend sp.
So if you're not going to give the "medic" starter fit a repair tool, then at least modify the tutorial to introduce the militia section of the marketplace...

A joke. A cruel, cruel joke played on us by CCP, the masters of such player abuse.
Also: Still the buggiest POS equipment in the game. Seems worse lately, too, which is nearly inconceivable. Can only hope it's part of the 1.9 at-least-one-year-old bugfix extravanganza.

Replace the nanite injector with a militia repair tool.
The nanite injector is one of the most flawed and broken pieces of equipment in the game (and the oldest broken). -being able to be caught in a revive cycle that only dashboarding out of can stop -false revives callouts flashing on the screen -injector needing to be used 4-10x before the player gets up, sometimes resulting in a bleed out anyway -impossible to find injector hitboxes, because the body moved after death -characters getting stuck in the map after revive...
Something this flawed, and also that takes much thought and responsibility, has no business in the hands of a new player.
I just put it on my thread here, good idea boyo

Rather, why not give basic frames another equipment with pg/cpu, and then the medic fit has both a rep tool and a needle?
Proof that Rattati/CCP do listen to the playerbase.

Lolno Basics have 0 combat specific role. Being the in between would give them a role. And it would destroy the concept of the basics.
Basics are supposed to be garbage,so players quickly skill out of them. Players shouldn't be encouraged to keep using basics.

New players currently don't receive a tutorial on using the equipment wheel. Until an explanation is added,it's simpler for 'press O for revive'.

What do you mean? The random blueberrys surely know how to revive. Cause they allways run past 6 guys while beeing shot at and still manage to get you up while 6 redberrys are staring at you. Its quite a impressive stunt to pull this off frequently.
Bright is the opposite of dark! Who would have thought of that?!

the only issue i have with reptools is i wish they gave the recipiant of the repairing some sort of visual notification or something to show they are reciveing reps.. the "glow" seemed to obscure periferals too much
