Busy farming infantry with a large blaster you mean? That's the easy (boring) kill for a Jihad...
You actually just said you'd rather, get out of the tank or run vs a tower forger... So you'd rather not tank against them... Perhaps you should try not tanking against Jihads... Or get out and forge them, lol.
The idea with tanking is the same as everything, you have to keep your eyes open. If you're covering a hacker make sure you are still looking at as much of the road as you can...
You're just another "I don't want to have to work to stay alive" tanker... For gods sake you have a guy ready to jump out with a forge gun, which is just full on scrub mode & the reason there should be a delay on getting out of vehicles.
If you knew anything about Jihad jeeps, you'd find just how much of an upper hand the tanker has... But screw it JAST NERF THAT ****!!! right?
There's way more quick thinking and strategy in the Jihad vs tank battle than the rest of the damn game put together, but no one seems to be able to figure it out.
DELBOY bitches about Jihads, but at least he has the balls to fight them and knows how to make it difficult & fun.
Actually the only tank I use is a missile tank because they are so much fun! I would never soil a glorious caldari tank by putting filthy blasters on it. I don't even engage infantry, I leave that to my gunners.
I actually said I prefer to fight a tower forge because I usually have a forge gunner in my tank to help and he's a pretty good shot. When I'm in my tank I stay in my tank, or did you even read my post?
I look out for jlavs as much as I can, but I can't look out for my squad and watch behind me at the same time.
I do work to stay alive, every battle. If there is a good forge gunner on the other team then I have to work pretty hard, a skilled enemy tank? Have to work hard to stay alive. A squad? I have to work very hard.
I don't know why you think teamwork is "full on scrub mode" but okay, it helps a lot when I'm taking on two or more tanks at the same time. Not to mention having a gunner to handle infantry.
I know alot about jlaving, its pretty damn easy. I tried it out when it was made possible and had a lot but thought it was a bug and was going to be patched like the mlt nos in 1.7.
Current jihad tactics,
1. Look on map for target
2. Maneuver behind target
3. Make sure target is on even enough ground
4. Hit nos and ram
That's it. There is more strategy in av than jlaving. Heck there is more strategy in actually using an lav than jlaving. Why don't you come and join me and a dropship squad, no I don't mean we all use dropships, I mean you and three others dropping in on points, securing them and the surrounding area then getting picked up and flown to another one, or reinforcing a point that's being over run, or swapping to av and dropping on a tank. If you really think jlaving is the best dust has to offer in terms of strategic game play you're doing it wrong, horribly wrong.
I fight jlavs, but there seems to be so many when av is in a great place. Its sad when I'm having a very engaging fight against a tank or two and a jlav hits me from behind. Makes vehicle play quite stale and detracts from the strategy.
