It would be better if we could get officer gear from LP store. (for ridiculously high amount of LP & isk)
So, there will be more people playing FW.
OR
pls increase the probability of salvaging one from public contracts. |

Although I'm a huge proponent of FW, I don't like this idea.
The salvage rate of officer weapons should be increased, but I don't think they should be directly buyable at a regular rate.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

I don't agree with the suggestion of making them available for purchase even at a high LP rate. Players with lots of ISK can already run prototype gear exclusively as it is. We don't need a higher tier for long time FW warriors.
However, I am in favor of increasing the likely hood of officer gear salvage, and perhaps by a fair percentage for everyone to benefit.
As it is, it is so rare that I never see officer gear in battle. Players hoard it like trophies which defeats the purpose of having it to begin with.
If it were a bit more common to get, all players could run it when they feel frisky, adding that extra tier available to most all players, new and vet. Otherwise it is so rare, just get rid of it. What's the point of it?

You see now if we have a fully player driven economy where the rarity and droprates / peoples willingness to sell affected the sell prices then I could certainly get behind that.
However I dont think it is a good idea without that. That being said I would definitely like to see more unique / side-grades / cosmetic options in the FW store. It might give people like me more incentive to get out of the regular pub matches.

I would much rather have an event to win them.
Something limited so there isn't a steady supply of officer weapons.
Something along the lines of 1 officer weapon for every 20 kills with a prototype variant of said weapon. Call it "The Protocalypse".

Should NOT be officer weapons in the store but a slightly higher powered version of each weapon would be nice. I love the idea of specialist versions and would like to see more things along the similar idea of offering a small but noticeable advantage either in fitting or damage delivered.
Suits with 1-2 extra base CPU/PG would probably be pretty nice once suits and specialists weapons have all made their way in to the LP store. |

not going to happen.. officer loot is like the mega pinnicle of loot and is completely separate from faction war LP items

yeah LP items need to be better. less cpu/pg use, more damage, more available pg/cpu.. as officer loot is alreaady waaaay higher then FW LP gear atm

I've seen videos of dust players with billions of ISK and i don't even want to know what wallet size is of all the mega-corps have. Even if it was for an insane price for isk you would have those veterans rolling in pubs with nothing but officer gear...we have yet to face officer stomps....if you think proto stomps are bad lets just say it would be like shooting rats with an elephant gun.
Now you could make it an insane cost in loyalty points....that would create more FW matches..i don't know anyone who has done LP matches exclusively and is sitting on mounds of LP points for such occasion.
Especially considering you have to win to get any decent amount of LP plus the grind to get a higher LP rank and payout,
