How many of you use AA? This debate has raged on over a year now with my guys. The day I saw AA as an option, I turned it off - never to be flipped back on, no second guessing. I argue, it takes real skill to play without, and actually feels a lot more fluid...but I guess I'm old school (Counter-Strike days). I've heard all the excuses: everyone does it, it doesn't make that much of a difference, etc. etc. I'm seriously curious, of all the "elite" players past and present, how many of you have it on? |

1. I'm not elite.
2. I have it on, but the only time I've ever noticed it in action is if I'm not touching the right stick at all; I've had many a cloaked scout run up stairs at my sentinel and noticed the reticule move to follow them for a split second. Never remember that though, and find myself following the enemy's movements whenever I'm in a firefight.

Never have, the AA is weak in DUST though compared to ther FPSes I've played... but still I don't like AA on principle.

It changed the game. I was the worst player on a 16 man team that did well before legit AA... After legit AA I don't belong on even a GAM/CAP/ML/KEQ team |

The AA in this game compared to other FPS shooters though....is nothing. It's absolutely weak AA compared to any other console shooter I've ever played...hence why the skill to power ratio tends to feel much more pronounced here.
Where in other FPS getting a 2 kdr is great...or a 3 is insane..the best skilled players simply have insane differences of power due to their skill at the limited AA dust has, especially at longer engagements....or if you have KBM.
AA in CQC is more pronounced IMO, but still nothing compared to most shooters.

I have it on until to 21-22:00 EvE and than switch it off from 22:00 on. Lag issues and unsteady ping are the reason of course.

I would like to switch to KB/M, but I hear the KB/M is bad in DUST, so I stick with AA DS3.
I'm not sure if you guys remember when AA was first released, but it pretty much seemed like AA improved hit detection more than anything else. |

Considering over 75% of my team and I didn't start the game until Uprising or later, it's not a shock we had to work our way up to play with the best. You're welcome to keep ice in our Gatorade tho.
I was always used to KB/M as well, but as I look back at the FPS highly played back then it didn't require a lot of A-D-S like today's FPS does (you crouched to increase accuracy). I feel like unless I'll be hip firing most of the time, KB/M isn't for me. Which actually works out fine, I have some serious hitch hiker's thumbs.
All in all, if you guys say it's not that big of a difference, I guess I can only base it on principal. Hats off to the recent bolt pistol kings
