Was this piece of equipment scrapped? I know it was mentioned along with the Cloak around the same time, yet only the Cloak has come to fruition. Curious if it could possibly be a 1.9 goodie for the Logis? Would make a great complement to my 100% rust free needles.

As someone who has a bit of an obsession with running Amarr Logi, I would also like to say that the bubble shield should be a thing.
CCP, please make this a thing.

AFAIK, the stated goal that CCP had for it was that a deployable "bubble shield" was supposed to protect infantry from orbital bombardment. My guess is that that's all it would do, and so it's very likely that a flux grenade would destroy the generator.
Which I really don't have any issue with, TBH.

Imagine, make it look similar to a nanohive, in that as you progress from basic to proto, the radius and amount of HP get bigger along with it. 500 HP, 5 meter radius. 1000HP, 10 meter radius. 1500 HP 15 meter radius. Lasts 30 seconds or until the HP is depleted, whichever is faster. Flux grenades insta pop them.

Which I really don't have any issue with, TBH. If this is created, it'll favorise rooftop campers even more.. they would be protected by OB with this and it would be TERRIBLE.
I really dont like this idea sorry.

The idea is okay but would need refinement.

Yup its balanced in Destiny, you cant use that in other way, just like bubble shield (no shooting in or out). But you still can run inside and take everything in down.

I would have preffered bubble shields to have come first into the game rather than cloaks. Would have prevented SCOUT 514

I really dont like this idea sorry. The idea sounds OP in itself. But CCP would have probably made it that you can't shoot from the inside. Which that balances it out. And a bubble shield would make a great spot for a miniature supply base.

If they copy the Halo mechanic, then of course it would be balanced. In Halo, you can walk through a bubble shield but you can't shoot or throw grenades through it in any direction (whether from outside or from within) and sometimes a bubble shield in Halo can be a death trap if someone were to run in and spam grenades.

Essentially this.
It's primary objective would be to help defend a logi whilst they are resurrecting the dead. I can see a whole lot of other applications though. I just want some clarification as to what ever happened to it. Was any work ever done on it, or was it merely an idea that was tossed around many months back?

I think it was just an idea. But then again, so was the cloak at the time.

Just quoting myself on the original design goal of the bubble shield. That being said, I really like this:

Since it's the sort of thing would be a logical extension of a deployable bubble shield of some kind. Of course, I'd also like to see deployable, directional "shields" that you could use as temporary cover.
Mostly because that then emphasizes the defensive combatant aspect of the logi, rather than the part that leads 90% of players to treat a logi as a walking/talking rep tool. Which is probably half the reason that, as a part-time logi, I have no SP invested into rep tools.

I don't play games from developers that take money from one game (A:CM) to make another (Borderlands 2).
You could argue that CCP is doing the same thing with Dust and Legion, but at least they are honest about it and they are essentially the same game.
Also, Manus Peak doesn't have a peak anymore, and falling off a cliff and dying there is quite a challenge these days...
