Just to derp around (it's only 9k, basic cal light frame with a militia shotty and bolt pistol), and Holy crap running around 3 shotting people is fun!! Especially if it's a militia suit! Sure, I get instakilled alot, but since dropships were nerfed, I need something new to have fun with. I might actually put a few skills into them.

If you want to shotgun, I'd recommend the Gallente or Amarr fits. There will bound to be another scout looking to take advantage of your shield > armor when they bring out their own shotgun.
Are you interested in learning the ways of the scout?

I use a dual SMG fit, 1x M209 Assault SMG, and 1x SK9M Breach SMG. The Breach smg can be switched out for a pistol of your choice if you feel like it.
I used the bolt pistol before it was (OP) cool.

at least its a light suit and not scout suit with cloak.. i wouldnt sp into them.. something tells me scouts are in for a rebalance (see:nerf)

a scrub is a scout/light.. a shotty scrub is a scout/light useing shotgun.. an OP scrub is scout/light useing BP and getting stupid amount of hits because of broken hit detection.. and finally a no-lifer scrub is any and all of the above when used with a cloak

Initially when i invested in the scout role after several painful seconds of deciding what i wanted to play in dust, I actually built myself around countering shotgun scouts. This just kinda evolved into a full blown infiltrator role with me.
Scrambler pistols are the perfect range to damage to counter another scout with a shotgun. At least pre 1.6
Dedicated Stealth Scout.
Pay attention to your surroundings or your getting 2 in the back of the head.
