http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_zi-sUWPWE Post delta planetary conquest footage. He basically ignores AV and racks up 19 kills against a team of coordinated proto suits. His only loss is when he hovers over an objective and doesn't bother to activate any modules or fly away when he takes damage.

A video of someone doing well with a weapon, vehicle, or dropsuit does not prove anything, same if it is one person doing poorly.
Would be like saying that "Beethoven proves that being deaf is useful in the music industry."

Would be like saying that "Beethoven proves that being deaf is useful in the music industry." would the average kdr for ads pilots being significantly higher than that of infantry be sufficient evidence?

I watched the video and not sure how this proves derpships are ok. There was only one swarm and no tanks or forges for him to deal with. Also, only about 4-5 of those kills actually belonged to him. He pretty much was kill stealing from the infantry dropped them to 1/4 armor and just swooped in and take the kill. There was one point where he soloed a scout and it took 2 shots just to take out the shields. Also, the enemy team let him hover for so long, usually a derpship isnt allowed to hover for more than 5-8 sec before the team focuses on it which makes me wonder if derpships are still ok, why would the team ignore it for so long...

I don't see a problem with the first part. Generally one Swarmer or Forger should be all it takes to deal with one ADS, which it is if you know what you're doing.
Though I should probably say that the Swarmer was terrible. The first mistake he made was not waiting for Espeon to begin hovering, and the second (the most critical) was firing the first volley towards the ADS. You never, ever, ever, do that unless it's Shields are almost depleted.
The enemy probably ignored him for so long because they needed to defend that point, and didn't have time to reach the Supply Depot (given the location and damage of the Swarms I don't believe the Swarmer was a Commando). However, you'll notice that in nearly all instances where the enemy had the Supply Depot Espeon's DS was attacked by the SL user.
But as a person who plays PC daily, I know for a fact that ADSs (especially Pythons) are not ignored by any standards. In over 90% of our PCs, I'm always assigned to fight the ADSs. And if I don't, then we lose the city or wherever else I'm at.

This. If it only takes 1 person to pilot, it should only take 1 person to shoot down.
