No. This is not a thread asking for it to be implied in 1.9. I am just curious.
How would have customization worked?
Where they to let us pick our own colors?
Because if it would have been like that, then what about the role colors? Unless CCP had some more art design for different suits depending on their role rather then just a color-reskin.
Personally I would love to completely customize my merc. Like giving him a cape sort of thing and stuff like that.
You know. Make that merc and suit feel unique cosmetically rather than just a paint job.

I thought you meant actual weapon add-ons like different scopes, ammo, etc.
Paint is cool, but not nearly as cool as being able to change scopes on your guns. |

I still don't know why we don't have this option tho.
We already have the in-game models with scopes.
Why not just ad a Yes and No option on whether if you want a scope on the weapon of your choice.

But yeah. This game needs a deep customization. Not now but in the future.

I always assumed that it would have worked as such.
They would add an extra fitting slot/vanity slot where you could plug in your respective paint scheme. All the benefits of pretty drop suits with none of the downsides! i.e. inflation from 'free suits'
Also theoretically they could be cheaper.

I remember CCP saying that would allow us to change the colour of the Laser beams and stuff :) |

It'd be nice if basic color paint jobs were free and npc corp based patterns were sold for aurum. This could go for suits and vehicles. This could also replace actual bpo suits. You buy the pattern then can apply it to whatever the active suit is.
